¹² And Hazael said, “Why does my lord weep?” He answered, “Because I know ^(A)the evil that you will do to the people of Israel. You will set on fire their fortresses, and you will kill their young men with the sword ^(B)and dash in pieces their little ones and rip open their pregnant women.”

¹⁰ As for me, ^(A)my eye will not spare, nor will I have pity; ^(B)I will bring their deeds upon their heads.”

⁵ And to ^(A)the others he said in my hearing, “Pass through the city after him, and strike. ^(B)Your eye shall not spare, and you shall show no pity. ^6 (C)Kill old men outright, young men and maidens, little children and women, but ^(D)touch no one on whom is the mark.
