Isaiah 43:2-5

New International Version

² When you pass through the waters,^(A)
    I will be with you;^(B)
and when you pass through the rivers,
    they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,^(C)
    you will not be burned;
    the flames will not set you ablaze.^(D)
3 For I am the Lord your God,^(E)
    the Holy One^(F) of Israel, your Savior;^(G)
I give Egypt^(H) for your ransom,
    Cush^[a](I) and Seba^(J) in your stead.^(K)
4 Since you are precious and honored^(L) in my sight,
    and because I love^(M) you,
I will give people in exchange for you,
    nations in exchange for your life.
⁵ Do not be afraid,^(N) for I am with you;^(O)
    I will bring your children^(P) from the east
    and gather^(Q) you from the west.^(R)
