43 But now thus says the Lord,
(A)he who created you, O Jacob,
he who formed you, O Israel:
(B)“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
(C)I have called you by name, you are mine.
2 (D)When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
(E)when you walk through fire (F)you shall not be burned,
and the flame shall not consume you.
3 For (G)I am the Lord your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.
(H)I give Egypt as your ransom,
Cush and (I)Seba in exchange for you.

I have summoned you by name;(E) you are mine.(F)

I will be with you;(H)
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,(I)
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.(J)
3 For I am the Lord your God,(K)
the Holy One(L) of Israel, your Savior;(M)
I give Egypt(N) for your ransom,

22 “Therefore say to the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord God: (A)It is not for your sake, O house of Israel, that I am about to act, but for the sake of my holy name, (B)which you have profaned among the nations to which you came. 23 (C)And I will vindicate the holiness of my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, and which you have profaned among them. (D)And the nations will know that I am the Lord, declares the Lord God, when through you I vindicate my holiness before their eyes. 24 (E)I will take you (F)from the nations and gather you from all the countries and (G)bring you into your own land. 25 (H)I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from (I)all your uncleannesses, and (J)from all your idols (K)I will cleanse you. 26 And I will give you (L)a new heart, and (M)a new spirit I will put within you. (N)And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 (O)And I will put my Spirit within you, (P)and cause you to walk in my statutes and (Q)be careful to obey my rules.[a] 28 (R)You shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers, and (S)you shall be my people, and I will be your God. 29 And (T)I will deliver you from all your uncleannesses. And (U)I will summon the grain and make it abundant and (V)lay no famine upon you. 30 (W)I will make the fruit of the tree and the increase of the field abundant, (X)that you may never again suffer the disgrace of famine among the nations. 31 Then (Y)you will remember your evil ways, and your deeds that were not good, and you will loathe yourselves for your iniquities and your abominations. 32 (Z)It is not for your sake that I will act, declares the Lord God; let that be known to you. Be ashamed and confounded for your ways, O house of Israel.

I will call for the grain and make it plentiful and will not bring famine(V) upon you. 30 I will increase the fruit of the trees and the crops of the field, so that you will no longer suffer disgrace among the nations because of famine.(W) 31 Then you will remember your evil ways and wicked deeds, and you will loathe yourselves for your sins and detestable practices.(X) 32 I want you to know that I am not doing this for your sake, declares the Sovereign Lord. 15 (A)“If you love me, you will (B)keep my commandments. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another (C)Helper,[a] to be with you forever, 17 even (D)the Spirit of truth, (E)whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and (F)will be[b] in you.
18 “I will not leave you as orphans; (G)I will come to you. 19 (H)Yet a little while and the world will see me no more, but (I)you will see me. (J)Because I live, you also will live. 20 (K)In that day you will know that (L)I am in my Father, and (M)you in me, and (N)I in you. 21 (O)Whoever has my commandments and (P)keeps them, he it is who loves me. (AF)Let not your hearts be troubled, neither (AG)let them be afraid. 28 (AH)You heard me say to you, (AI)‘I am going away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I (AJ)am going to the Father, for (AK)the Father is greater than I. 29 And (AL)now I have told you before it takes place, so that when it does take place you may believe. 30 I will no longer talk much with you, for (AM)the ruler of this world is coming. 23 Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching.(P) My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.(Q) 24 Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.(R)
25 “All this I have spoken while still with you. 26 But the Advocate,(S) the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name,(T) will teach you all things(U) and will remind you of everything I have said to you.(V) 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.(W) I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled(X) and do not be afraid.
28 “You heard me say, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’(Y) If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father,(Z) for the Father is greater than I.(AA) 29 I have told you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe.(AB) 30 I will not say much more to you, for the prince of this world(AC) is coming. He has no hold over me, 31 but he comes so that the world may learn that I love the Father and do exactly what my Father has commanded me.(AD)
