Isaiah 54:7-14
New International Version
7 “For a brief moment(A) I abandoned(B) you,
but with deep compassion(C) I will bring you back.(D)
8 In a surge of anger(E)
I hid(F) my face from you for a moment,
but with everlasting kindness(G)
I will have compassion(H) on you,”
says the Lord your Redeemer.(I)
9 “To me this is like the days of Noah,
when I swore that the waters of Noah would never again cover the earth.(J)
So now I have sworn(K) not to be angry(L) with you,
never to rebuke(M) you again.
10 Though the mountains be shaken(N)
and the hills be removed,
yet my unfailing love(O) for you will not be shaken(P)
nor my covenant(Q) of peace(R) be removed,”
says the Lord, who has compassion(S) on you.
11 “Afflicted(T) city, lashed by storms(U) and not comforted,(V)
I will rebuild you with stones of turquoise,[a](W)
your foundations(X) with lapis lazuli.(Y)
12 I will make your battlements of rubies,
your gates(Z) of sparkling jewels,
and all your walls of precious stones.
13 All your children will be taught by the Lord,(AA)
and great will be their peace.(AB)
14 In righteousness(AC) you will be established:(AD)
Tyranny(AE) will be far from you;
you will have nothing to fear.(AF)
Terror(AG) will be far removed;
it will not come near you.

New International Version
More Than Conquerors
31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things?(A) If God is for us,(B) who can be against us?(C) 32 He who did not spare his own Son,(D) but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge(E) against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who then is the one who condemns?(F) No one. Christ Jesus who died(G)—more than that, who was raised to life(H)—is at the right hand of God(I) and is also interceding for us.(J) 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?(K) Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?(L) 36 As it is written:
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors(N) through him who loved us.(O) 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b] neither the present nor the future,(P) nor any powers,(Q) 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God(R) that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.(S)
