Het Boek
Jeruzalem, de door God gezegende stad
62 Omdat ik veel van Sion houd en mijn hart naar Jeruzalem verlangt, zal ik niet ophouden voor haar te bidden, totdat het licht van haar vrijheid daagt en de fakkel van haar redding brandt. 2 De volken zullen uw gerechtigheid zien. Koningen zullen worden verblind door uw glorie en God zal u een nieuwe naam geven. 3 Hij zal u in zijn hand omhoog houden, een prachtige kroon voor de koning der koningen. 4 U zult nooit meer ‘het door God verlaten land’ of ‘het land dat God vergat’ worden genoemd. Uw nieuwe naam zal zijn: ‘het land waar God van houdt’ en ‘de bruid,’ want de Here beleeft vreugde aan u en zal u beschouwen als zijn eigendom. 5 Uw kinderen zullen voor u zorgen, o Jeruzalem, met vreugde als van een jonge man die met een jonge vrouw trouwt, en God zal Zich over u verheugen als een bruidegom die in de wolken is met zijn bruid.
6,7 O Jeruzalem, ik heb wachters op uw muren geposteerd die dag en nacht tot God zullen roepen voor de vervulling van zijn beloften. Neem geen rust, u die bidt, en geef God geen rust tot Hij Jeruzalem een hecht fundament geeft en zij over de hele wereld respect en bewondering afdwingt. 8 De Here heeft Jeruzalem in al zijn oprechtheid gezworen: ‘Ik zal u nooit meer aan uw vijanden overgeven, vreemde soldaten zullen nooit meer uw koren en wijn weghalen. 9 U verbouwde het, u zult het ook eten, God lovend. In de voorhoven van de tempel zult u zelf de wijn drinken die u hebt geperst.’
10 Vooruit! Snel! Maak de weg klaar voor de terugkeer van mijn volk! Herstel de wegen, ruim de stenen op en hijs de vlag van Israël. 11 Kijk, de Here heeft zijn boodschappers naar elk land gestuurd en zegt: ‘Vertel mijn volk: Ik, de Here, uw God, kom eraan om u te redden en Ik zal u vele geschenken brengen.’ 12 En zij zullen ‘het heilige volk’ en ‘de verlosten van de Here’ worden genoemd. Jeruzalem zal ‘begeerde stad’ en ‘door God gezegende stad’ worden genoemd.

62 Vì cớ Si-ôn Ta sẽ không im lặng,
Vì cớ Giê-ru-sa-lem Ta sẽ không bất động
Cho đến khi nào sự công chính của nó phát ra như ánh sáng
Và ơn cứu rỗi bừng cháy như ngọn đuốc.
2 Các nước sẽ thấy sự công chính của ngươi;
Tất cả các vua sẽ thấy vinh quang ngươi.
Ngươi sẽ được gọi bằng tên mới,
Là tên chính miệng CHÚA sẽ ban cho.
3 Ngươi sẽ là mão vinh hiển trong tay CHÚA,
Là mũ miện hoàng gia trong lòng bàn tay Đức Chúa Trời ngươi.
4 Ngươi sẽ không còn bị gọi là kẻ bị ruồng bỏ,
Và đất đai ngươi là đất hoang phế nữa.
Nhưng ngươi sẽ được gọi là người mà Ta vui thích,[a]
Và đất ngươi là đất có chồng.[b]
Vì CHÚA vui thích về ngươi
Và đất ngươi là đất sẽ có chồng.
5 Như một thanh niên sẽ cưới một thiếu nữ
Thì các con trai ngươi[c] sẽ kết ước với ngươi;
Như chàng rể vui mừng vì cô dâu
Thì Đức Chúa Trời ngươi cũng vui mừng vì cớ ngươi.
6 Hỡi Giê-ru-sa-lem, Ta đã đặt lính canh trên tường thành ngươi.
Suốt ngày đêm họ sẽ không hề nín lặng;
Các ngươi là người nhắc nhở CHÚA,
Chớ nghỉ ngơi.
7 Cũng đừng để Ngài nghỉ ngơi cho đến khi Ngài thiết lập lại Giê-ru-sa-lem
Và làm nó nổi danh trên đất.
8 CHÚA đã đưa tay phải
Và cánh tay quyền năng của Ngài lên mà thề rằng:
“Ta sẽ không ban lúa mì của ngươi
Cho kẻ thù ngươi ăn nữa;
Người ngoại quốc cũng sẽ không uống rượu nho mới của ngươi,
Là rượu mà ngươi đã lao lực làm ra.
9 Nhưng những người gặt hái lúa mì sẽ được ăn lúa
Và ca ngợi CHÚA.
Và những người hái nho sẽ được uống rượu nho
Trong sân thánh điện Ta.”
10 Hãy đi qua, hãy đi qua các cửa thành;
Hãy dọn đường cho dân.
Hãy xây đắp, hãy xây đắp đường cái;
Hãy dẹp sạch đá.
Hãy giương cờ cho các dân.
11 Này, CHÚA đã công bố
Đến tận cùng trái đất;
Hãy nói với con gái Si-ôn:
“Kìa, ơn cứu rỗi[d] ngươi đang đến.
Kìa, Ngài đem phần thưởng theo với Ngài;
Và thành tích[e] Ngài đi trước Ngài.”
12 Chúng sẽ được gọi là dân thánh,
Dân được cứu chuộc của CHÚA.
Còn ngươi sẽ được gọi là thành người ta tìm đến,
Thành không bị ruồng bỏ.

62 For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.
2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name.
3 Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.
4 Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the Lord delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.
5 For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.
6 I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the Lord, keep not silence,
7 And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.
8 The Lord hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy corn to be meat for thine enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured:
9 But they that have gathered it shall eat it, and praise the Lord; and they that have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of my holiness.
10 Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people.
11 Behold, the Lord hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.
12 And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the Lord: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.

6 耶路撒冷啊，我在你城上设立守望的，他们昼夜必不静默。呼吁耶和华的，你们不要歇息， 7 也不要使他歇息，直等他建立耶路撒冷，使耶路撒冷在地上成为可赞美的。 8 耶和华指着自己的右手和大能的膀臂起誓说：“我必不再将你的五谷给你仇敌做食物，外邦人也不再喝你劳碌得来的新酒。 9 唯有那收割的要吃，并赞美耶和华，那聚敛的要在我圣所的院内喝。”
宣告万民救主莅临当备其道
10 你们当从门经过经过，预备百姓的路；修筑修筑大道，捡去石头，为万民竖立大旗。 11 看哪，耶和华曾宣告到地极，对锡安的居民说：“你的拯救者来到！他的赏赐在他那里，他的报应在他面前。” 12 人必称他们为圣民，为耶和华的赎民，你也必称为被眷顾不撇弃的城。
