1 Kings 8:22-30
New King James Version
Solomon’s Prayer of Dedication(A)
22 Then Solomon stood before (B)the altar of the Lord in the presence of all the assembly of Israel, and (C)spread out his hands toward heaven; 23 and he said: “Lord God of Israel, (D)there is no God in heaven above or on earth below like You, (E)who keep Your covenant and mercy with Your servants who (F)walk before You with all their hearts. 24 You have kept what You promised Your servant David my father; You have both spoken with Your mouth and fulfilled it with Your hand, as it is this day. 25 Therefore, Lord God of Israel, now keep what You promised Your servant David my father, saying, (G)‘You shall not fail to have a man sit before Me on the throne of Israel, only if your sons take heed to their way, that they walk before Me as you have walked before Me.’ 26 (H)And now I pray, O God of Israel, let Your word come true, which You have spoken to Your servant David my father.
27 “But (I)will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the (J)heaven of heavens cannot contain You. How much less this temple which I have built! 28 Yet regard the prayer of Your servant and his supplication, O Lord my God, and listen to the cry and the prayer which Your servant is praying before You today: 29 that Your eyes may be open toward this [a]temple night and day, toward the place of which You said, (K)‘My name shall be (L)there,’ that You may hear the prayer which Your servant makes (M)toward this place. 30 (N)And may You hear the supplication of Your servant and of Your people Israel, when they pray toward this place. Hear in heaven Your dwelling place; and when You hear, forgive.

John 13:21-38
New King James Version
21 (A)When Jesus had said these things, (B)He was troubled in spirit, and testified and said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, (C)one of you will betray Me.” 22 Then the disciples looked at one another, perplexed about whom He spoke.
23 Now (D)there was [a]leaning on Jesus’ bosom one of His disciples, whom Jesus loved. 24 Simon Peter therefore motioned to him to ask who it was of whom He spoke.
25 Then, leaning [b]back on Jesus’ breast, he said to Him, “Lord, who is it?”
26 Jesus answered, “It is he to whom I shall give a piece of bread when I have dipped it.” And having dipped the bread, He gave it to (E)Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon. 27 (F)Now after the piece of bread, Satan entered him. Then Jesus said to him, “What you do, do quickly.” 28 But no one at the table knew for what reason He said this to him. 29 For some thought, because (G)Judas had the money box, that Jesus had said to him, “Buy those things we need for the feast,” or that he should give something to the poor.
30 Having received the piece of bread, he then went out immediately. And it was night.
The New Commandment
31 So, when he had gone out, Jesus said, (H)“Now the Son of Man is glorified, and (I)God is glorified in Him. 32 If God is glorified in Him, God will also glorify Him in Himself, and (J)glorify Him immediately. 33 Little children, I shall be with you a (K)little while longer. You will seek Me; (L)and as I said to the Jews, ‘Where I am going, you cannot come,’ so now I say to you. 34 (M)A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 (N)By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
Jesus Predicts Peter’s Denial
36 Simon Peter said to Him, “Lord, where are You going?”
Jesus answered him, “Where I (O)am going you cannot follow Me now, but (P)you shall follow Me afterward.”
37 Peter said to Him, “Lord, why can I not follow You now? I will (Q)lay down my life for Your sake.”
38 Jesus answered him, “Will you lay down your life for My sake? Most assuredly, I say to you, the rooster shall not (R)crow till you have denied Me three times.

John 14:2-31
New King James Version
2 In My Father’s house are many [a]mansions; if it were not so, [b]I would have told you. (A)I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, (B)I will come again and receive you to Myself; that (C)where I am, there you may be also. 4 And where I go you know, and the way you know.”
5 (D)Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?”
6 Jesus said to him, “I am (E)the way, (F)the truth, and (G)the life. (H)No one comes to the Father (I)except through Me.
The Father Revealed
7 (J)“If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.”
8 Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.”
9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? (K)He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Do you not believe that (L)I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you (M)I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. 11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, (N)or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.
The Answered Prayer
12 (O)“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. 13 (P)And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be (Q)glorified in the Son. 14 If you [c]ask anything in My name, I will do it.
Jesus Promises Another Helper
15 (R)“If you love Me, [d]keep My commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and (S)He will give you another [e]Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 (T)the Spirit of truth, (U)whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you (V)and will be in you. 18 (W)I will not leave you orphans; (X)I will come to you.
Indwelling of the Father and the Son
19 “A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but (Y)you will see Me. (Z)Because I live, you will live also. 20 At that day you will know that (AA)I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. 21 (AB)He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and [f]manifest Myself to him.”
22 (AC)Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?”
23 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, (AD)and We will come to him and make Our home with him. 24 He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and (AE)the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.
The Gift of His Peace
25 “These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. 26 But (AF)the [g]Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will (AG)send in My name, (AH)He will teach you all things, and bring to your (AI)remembrance all things that I said to you. 27 (AJ)Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. 28 You have heard Me (AK)say to you, ‘I am going away and coming back to you.’ If you loved Me, you would rejoice because [h]I said, (AL)‘I am going to the Father,’ for (AM)My Father is greater than I.
29 “And (AN)now I have told you before it comes, that when it does come to pass, you may believe. 30 I will no longer talk much with you, (AO)for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has (AP)nothing in Me. 31 But that the world may know that I love the Father, and (AQ)as the Father gave Me commandment, so I do. Arise, let us go from here.
