1 Peter 5:8-14

8 (A)Be of sober spirit, (B)be on the alert. Your adversary, (C)the devil, prowls around like a roaring (D)lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 [a](E)So resist him, (F)firm in your faith, knowing that (G)the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your [b]brothers and sisters who are in the world. 10 After you have suffered (H)for a little while, the (I)God of all grace, who (J)called you to His (K)eternal glory in Christ, will Himself (L)perfect, (M)confirm, strengthen, and establish you. 11 (N)To Him be dominion forever and ever. Amen.
12 Through (O)Silvanus, our faithful brother [c](for so I regard him), (P)I have written to you briefly, [d]exhorting and testifying that this is (Q)the true grace of God. (R)Stand firm in it! 13 She who is in Babylon, chosen together with you, sends you greetings, and so does my son, (S)Mark. 14 (T)Greet one another with a kiss of love.

Your (C)adversary the devil (D)prowls around (E)like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 (F)Resist him, (G)firm in your faith, knowing that (H)the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. 10 And (I)after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, (J)who has called you to his (K)eternal glory in Christ, will himself (L)restore, (M)confirm, strengthen, and establish you. 11 (N)To him be the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
