Hosea 9:7-8
Legacy Standard Bible

7 The days of (A)punishment have come;
The days of (B)recompense have come;
[a]Let Israel know this!
The prophet is an (C)ignorant fool,
The [b]inspired man has (D)madness,
Because of the abundance of your (E)iniquity
And because your hostility has abounded.
8 Ephraim was a watchman with my God, a prophet;
Yet the snare of a bird catcher is in all his ways,
And there is only hostility in the house of his God.

7 The (A)days of punishment have come;
The days of recompense have come.
Israel knows!
The prophet is a (B)fool,
(C)The spiritual man is insane,
Because of the greatness of your iniquity and great enmity.
8 The (D)watchman of Ephraim is with my God;
But the prophet is a [a]fowler’s snare in all his ways—
Enmity in the house of his God.
