Hosea 7:8-10

8 Ephraim (A)mixes himself with the peoples;
Ephraim has become a cake not turned.
9 (B)Strangers devour his power,
Yet he (C)does not know it;
Gray hairs also are sprinkled on him,
Yet he does not know it.
10 So the (D)pride of Israel answers against him,
Yet (E)they have not returned to Yahweh their God,
Nor have they sought Him, for all this.

International Standard Version
8 “Ephraim compromises with[a] the nations;
he’s a half-baked cake.[b]
9 Foreigners have consumed his strength,
and he hasn’t noticed.
Furthermore, his head is sprinkled with gray hair,
but he doesn’t realize it.
10 Israel’s arrogance testifies against him;[c]
but they do not return to the Lord their God,
nor seek him in all of this.
