7 But (A)like [a]Adam they have (B)trespassed against the covenant;
There they have (C)dealt treacherously against Me.
8 (D)Gilead is a city of workers of iniquity,
With a track of (E)blood.
9 And as (F)raiders wait for a man,
So a band of priests (G)murder on the way to Shechem;
Surely they have committed (H)lewdness.
10 In the house of Israel I have seen an (I)appalling thing;
Ephraim’s (J)harlotry is there; Israel has defiled itself.
11 Also, O Judah, there is a (K)harvest set for you
When I (L)restore the fortunes of My people,

Hosea 6:7-11
Evangelical Heritage Version
7 Like Adam,[a] they have broken the covenant.
They acted treacherously against me there.
8 Gilead is a city of evildoers,
stained with bloody footprints.
9 As gangs of robbers wait to ambush a man,
so do bands of priests.
They commit murder on the road to Shechem.
They have committed shameful crimes.
10 In the house of Israel I have seen a horrible thing.
Ephraim practices sexual immorality there.
Israel defiles itself.
11 Judah, also for you, a harvest has been appointed,
when I restore the fortunes of my people.[b]
