Hosea 6:1-6
English Standard Version
Israel and Judah Are Unrepentant
6 “Come, let us (A)return to the Lord;
for (B)he has torn us, that he may heal us;
he has struck us down, and (C)he will bind us up.
2 After two days (D)he will revive us;
on the third day he will raise us up,
that we may live before him.
3 (E)Let us know; (F)let us press on to know the Lord;
(G)his going out is sure as the dawn;
he will come to us (H)as the showers,
(I)as the spring rains that water the earth.”
4 What shall I do with you, (J)O (K)Ephraim?
What shall I do with you, O (L)Judah?
Your love is (M)like a morning cloud,
(N)like the dew that goes early away.
5 Therefore I have hewn them by the prophets;
I have slain them (O)by the words of my mouth,
and my judgment goes forth as the light.
6 For (P)I desire steadfast love[a] and not sacrifice,
(Q)the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings.

English Standard Version
32 not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when (A)I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant that they broke, (B)though I was their husband, declares the Lord. 33 (C)For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: (D)I will put my law within them, and I will write it (E)on their hearts. (F)And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34 And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ (G)for they shall all know me, (H)from the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord. For (I)I will forgive their iniquity, and (J)I will remember their sin no more.”

Romans 5:6-8
English Standard Version
6 For (A)while we were still weak, at the right time (B)Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— 8 but (C)God shows his love for us in that (D)while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Mark 2:14-17
English Standard Version
14 (A)And as he passed by, he saw (B)Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax booth, and he said to him, “Follow me.” And he rose and followed him.
15 And as he reclined at table in his house, many (C)tax collectors and sinners were reclining with Jesus and his disciples, for there were many who followed him. 16 And (D)the scribes of[a] the Pharisees, when they saw that he was eating with sinners and tax collectors, said to his disciples, (E)“Why does he eat[b] with tax collectors and sinners?” 17 And when Jesus heard it, he said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. (F)I came not to call the righteous, (G)but sinners.”
