Hosea 4:4-11
Legacy Standard Bible
4 Yet let no man (A)contend, and let no man offer reproof;
Indeed, your people are like those who (B)contend with the priest.
5 So you will (C)stumble by day,
And the prophet also will stumble with you by night;
And I will destroy your (D)mother.
6 (E)My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
Because you have (F)rejected knowledge,
I also will (G)reject you from ministering as My priest.
Since you have (H)forgotten the (I)law of your God,
I Myself also will forget your children.
7 The more they (J)multiplied, the more they sinned against Me;
I will (K)change their glory into disgrace.
8 They (L)eat the [a]sin of My people
And (M)lift up [b]their soul toward their iniquity.
9 And it will be like people, (N)like priest;
So I will (O)punish them for their ways
And cause their deeds to return to them.
10 (P)They will eat, but not be satisfied;
They will (Q)play the harlot, but not break forth in number,
Because they have [c](R)forsaken Yahweh to keep harlotry.
11 Harlotry, (S)wine, and new wine take away a heart of wisdom.
