Hosea 3

Waiting for Restoration
3 Then the Lord said to me, “Go again; show love to a woman who is loved by another man and is an adulteress,(A) just as the Lord loves the Israelites though they turn to other gods and love raisin cakes.”(B)
2 So I bought her for fifteen shekels of silver and nine bushels of barley.[a][b](C) 3 I said to her, “You are to live with me many days. You must not be promiscuous or belong to any man, and I will act the same way toward you.”
4 For the Israelites must live many days without king or prince,(D) without sacrifice(E) or sacred pillar,(F) and without ephod(G) or household idols.(H) 5 Afterward, the people of Israel will return(I) and seek the Lord their God and David their king.(J) They will come with awe to the Lord(K) and to his goodness in the last days.

3 Then said the Lord unto me, Go yet, love a woman beloved of her friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the Lord toward the children of Israel, who look to other gods, and love flagons of wine.
2 So I bought her to me for fifteen pieces of silver, and for an homer of barley, and an half homer of barley:
3 And I said unto her, Thou shalt abide for me many days; thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not be for another man: so will I also be for thee.
4 For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim:
5 Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the Lord their God, and David their king; and shall fear the Lord and his goodness in the latter days.

Hoseas otrogna hustru
3 Herren sade till mig: "Gå och älska din hustru igen, fastän hon älskas av en annan och har begått äktenskapsbrott. Älska henne som jag, Herren, älskar Israels barn, fastän de vänder sig till andra gudar och älskar druvkakor."[a]
2 Och jag köpte henne åt mig och gav för henne femton siklar silver och en homer och en letek korn. 3 Jag sade till henne: "Under lång tid skall du vara hos mig. Bedriv inte otukt och ge dig inte åt någon annan man. Jag skall vara hos dig."
4 Ty under lång tid skall Israels barn bli utan kung och furste,
utan offer och stoder och utan efod och husgudar.
5 Sedan skall Israels barn vända om och söka Herren, sin Gud,
och David, sin kung.
Med fruktan skall de söka Herren
och hans godhet i kommande dagar.
