Hosea 2:18-20
World English Bible
18 In that day I will make a covenant for them with the animals of the field,
and with the birds of the sky,
and with the creeping things of the ground.
I will break the bow, the sword, and the battle out of the land,
and will make them lie down safely.
19 I will betroth you to me forever.
Yes, I will betroth you to me in righteousness, in justice, in loving kindness, and in compassion.
20 I will even betroth you to me in faithfulness;
and you shall know Yahweh.

18 I will make for you[a] a covenant on that day with the wild animals, the birds of the air, and the creeping things of the ground, and I will abolish[b] the bow, the sword, and war from the land, and I will make you[c] lie down in safety.(A) 19 And I will take you for my wife forever; I will take you for my wife in righteousness and in justice, in steadfast love and in mercy.(B) 20 I will take you for my wife in faithfulness, and you shall know the Lord.(C)
