Hosea 1:10-2:1

New International Version

¹⁰“Yet the Israelites will be like the sand on the seashore, which cannot be measured or counted.^(A) In the place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ they will be called ‘children of the living God.’^(B) ¹¹The people of Judah and the people of Israel will come together;^(C) they will appoint one leader^(D) and will come up out of the land,^(E) for great will be the day of Jezreel.^[a]^(F)

2 ^[b]“Say of your brothers, ‘My people,’ and of your sisters, ‘My loved one.’^(G)

¹⁰^[a]Despite this, the number of the people of Israel will be like ocean sand, which can neither be measured nor counted. And the time will come when instead of it being said,^[b] ‘You are not my people,’ it will be said,^[c] ‘You are children of the living God.’ ¹¹^[d]And the people of Judah and the people of Israel will be united as one. They will appoint for themselves a single leader and will take dominion over^[e] the land, for great will be the day of Jezreel. 2 ¹^[f]So call your brothers ‘Ammi,’^[g] and your sisters ‘Ruhamah.’”^[h]
