Hosea 13:4-8

⁴ Yet I have been ^(A)Yahweh your God
Since the land of Egypt;
And you were not to know ^(B)any god except Me,
And there is no savior ^(C)besides Me.
⁵ I Myself ^(D)knew you in the wilderness,
^(E)In the land of drought.
⁶ As they had their pasture, then they became ^(F)satisfied,
Indeed, they were satisfied, and their ^(G)heart became raised up;
Therefore they ^(H)forgot Me.
⁷ So I will be ^(I)like a lion to them;
Like a ^(J)leopard I will ^[a]lie in wait by the wayside.
⁸ I will encounter them ^(K)like a bear robbed of her cubs,
And I will tear open ^[b]the chest enclosing their heart;
There I will also ^(L)devour them like a lioness,
As a beast of the field would rip them open.
