Hosea 12:12-14
World English Bible
12 Jacob fled into the country of Aram,
and Israel served to get a wife,
and for a wife he tended flocks and herds.
13 By a prophet Yahweh brought Israel up out of Egypt,
and by a prophet he was preserved.
14 Ephraim has bitterly provoked anger.
Therefore his blood will be left on him,
and his Lord[a] will repay his contempt.

12 Jacob (A)fled to the country of Syria;
(B)Israel served for a spouse,
And for a wife he tended sheep.
13 (C)By a prophet the Lord brought Israel out of Egypt,
And by a prophet he was preserved.
14 Ephraim (D)provoked Him to anger most bitterly;
Therefore his Lord will leave the guilt of his bloodshed upon him,
(E)And return his reproach upon him.
