Hosea 12:11-13:3

New International Version

13 When Ephraim spoke, people trembled;^(J)
    he was exalted^(K) in Israel.
    But he became guilty of Baal worship^(L) and died.
² Now they sin more and more;
    they make^(M) idols for themselves from their silver,^(N)
cleverly fashioned images,
    all of them the work of craftsmen.^(O)
It is said of these people,
    “They offer human sacrifices!
    They kiss^[b](P) calf-idols!^(Q)”
³ Therefore they will be like the morning mist,
    like the early dew that disappears,^(R)
    like chaff^(S) swirling from a threshing floor,^(T)
    like smoke^(U) escaping through a window.
