Hosea 11:12-12:2

12 [a]Ephraim surrounds Me with [b](A)lies
And the house of Israel with deceit;
And Judah is also unruly against God,
Even against the Holy One who is faithful.

12 [c]Ephraim feeds on (B)wind
And pursues the (C)east wind continually;
He abounds in falsehood and destruction.
Moreover, [d]he cuts a covenant with Assyria,
And oil is carried to Egypt.

Yahweh’s Contention with Judah

2 And Yahweh has a (D)contention with Judah
And will punish Jacob (E)according to his ways;
He will cause everything to return to him according to his deeds.
