1 The word of the Lord that came unto Hosea, the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.
2 The beginning of the word of the Lord by Hosea. And the Lord said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredom, departing from the Lord.
3 So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; which conceived, and bare him a son.
4 And the Lord said unto him, Call his name Jezreel; for yet a little while, and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu, and will cause to cease the kingdom of the house of Israel.
5 And it shall come to pass at that day, that I will break the bow of Israel, in the valley of Jezreel.
6 And she conceived again, and bare a daughter. And God said unto him, Call her name Loruhamah: for I will no more have mercy upon the house of Israel; but I will utterly take them away.
7 But I will have mercy upon the house of Judah, and will save them by the Lord their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen.
8 Now when she had weaned Loruhamah, she conceived, and bare a son.
9 Then said God, Call his name Loammi: for ye are not my people, and I will not be your God.
10 Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God.
11 Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered together, and appoint themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the land: for great shall be the day of Jezreel.

1 Palabra del Señor que vino a Oseas(A), hijo de Beeri, en días de Uzías(B), Jotam(C), Acaz(D) y Ezequías(E), reyes de Judá, y en días de Jeroboam, hijo de Joás, rey de Israel(F).
2 Cuando por primera vez el Señor habló por medio de Oseas, el Señor le dijo: «Ve, toma para ti a una mujer ramera(G) y ten con ella hijos de prostitución; porque la tierra se prostituye(H) gravemente, abandonando al Señor». 3 Oseas fue y tomó a Gomer, hija de Diblaim; y ella concibió y le dio a luz un hijo(I). 4 Y el Señor dijo a Oseas: «Ponle por nombre Jezreel[a](J), porque dentro de poco castigaré a la casa de Jehú(K) por la sangre derramada en Jezreel, y pondré fin al reino de la casa de Israel(L). 5 En aquel día quebraré el arco(M) de Israel en el valle de Jezreel(N)».
6 Ella concibió otra vez y dio a luz una hija. Y el Señor le dijo: «Ponle por nombre Lo Ruhamá[b](O), porque ya no me compadeceré de la casa de Israel, pues no los perdonaré jamás. 7 Pero me compadeceré de la casa de Judá y los salvaré por el Señor su Dios(P); y no los salvaré con arco, ni con espada, ni con batalla, ni con caballos ni jinetes(Q)». 8 Después de haber destetado a Lo Ruhamá, ella concibió y dio a luz un hijo. 9 Y el Señor dijo: «Ponle por nombre Lo Ammí[c], porque ustedes no son Mi pueblo y Yo no soy su Dios».
10 ¶[d]Pero el número de los israelitas
Será como la arena del mar(R),
Que no se puede medir ni contar;
Y sucederá que en el lugar
Donde se les dice:
«No son Mi pueblo(S)»,
Se les dirá:
«Son hijos del Dios viviente(T)».
11 Y los hijos de Judá y los israelitas se reunirán(U),
Y nombrarán para sí un solo jefe(V),
Y subirán de la tierra,
Porque grande será el día de Jezreel.

1 The word of the Lord that came(A) to Hosea son of Beeri during the reigns of Uzziah,(B) Jotham,(C) Ahaz(D) and Hezekiah,(E) kings of Judah,(F) and during the reign of Jeroboam(G) son of Jehoash[a] king of Israel:(H)
Hosea’s Wife and Children
2 When the Lord began to speak through Hosea, the Lord said to him, “Go, marry a promiscuous(I) woman and have children with her, for like an adulterous wife this land is guilty of unfaithfulness(J) to the Lord.” 3 So he married Gomer(K) daughter of Diblaim, and she conceived and bore him a son.
4 Then the Lord said to Hosea, “Call him Jezreel,(L) because I will soon punish the house of Jehu for the massacre at Jezreel, and I will put an end to the kingdom of Israel. 5 In that day I will break Israel’s bow in the Valley of Jezreel.(M)”
6 Gomer(N) conceived again and gave birth to a daughter. Then the Lord said to Hosea, “Call her Lo-Ruhamah (which means “not loved”),(O) for I will no longer show love to Israel,(P) that I should at all forgive them. 7 Yet I will show love to Judah; and I will save them—not by bow,(Q) sword or battle, or by horses and horsemen, but I, the Lord their God,(R) will save them.”
8 After she had weaned Lo-Ruhamah,(S) Gomer had another son. 9 Then the Lord said, “Call him Lo-Ammi (which means “not my people”), for you are not my people, and I am not your God.[b](T)
10 “Yet the Israelites will be like the sand on the seashore, which cannot be measured or counted.(U) In the place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ they will be called ‘children of the living God.’(V) 11 The people of Judah and the people of Israel will come together;(W) they will appoint one leader(X) and will come up out of the land,(Y) for great will be the day of Jezreel.[c](Z)

1 L’Eternel adressa la parole à Osée, fils de Beéri, sous les règnes d’Ozias, de Yotam, d’Ahaz et d’Ezéchias, rois de Juda, et sous le règne de Jéroboam, fils de Joas, roi d’Israël[a].

2 Première partie des paroles que l’Eternel prononça par Osée :
L’Eternel dit à Osée : Va, prends une femme qui se livre à la prostitution, et des enfants nés de la prostitution, car le pays se vautre dans la prostitution en se détournant de l’Eternel[b].
3 Alors Osée alla prendre Gomer, de Diblaïm. Elle devint enceinte et lui donna un fils. 4 L’Eternel lui dit : Appelle-le Jizréel, car d’ici peu de temps, je ferai rendre compte à la dynastie de Jéhu des meurtres commis à Jizréel[c] et je mettrai fin à la royauté d’Israël. 5 En ce jour-là, je briserai l’arc d’Israël dans la vallée de Jizréel.
6 Gomer fut de nouveau enceinte et mit au monde une fille. L’Eternel dit à Osée : Appelle-la Lo-Rouhama (la Non-Aimée), car, à l’avenir, je ne manifesterai plus d’amour à la communauté d’Israël, et je ne lui accorderai plus mon pardon.
7 Cependant, je manifesterai de l’amour à la communauté de Juda, et moi, l’Eternel son Dieu, je la sauverai. Je la sauverai moi-même – et non pas par l’arc, par l’épée ou la guerre, par les chevaux et les équipages de chars.
8 Après avoir sevré Lo-Rouhama, Gomer fut encore enceinte et elle donna naissance à un fils.
9 L’Eternel dit à Osée : Appelle-le Lo-Ammi (Pas mon peuple) car vous n’êtes pas mon peuple, et moi, Je suis, je ne suis rien pour vous[d].
