Hoseas Familie als Bild für Israel
1 In diesem Buch sind die Botschaften aufgeschrieben, die Hosea, der Sohn Beeris, vom Herrn empfing. Seinerzeit regierten in Juda nacheinander die Könige Usija, Jotam, Ahas und Hiskia. In Israel herrschte König Jerobeam, der Sohn von Joasch.
2 Als der Herr zum ersten Mal zu Hosea sprach, befahl er ihm: »Such dir eine Hure und nimm sie zur Frau! Du sollst Kinder haben, die von einer Hure geboren wurden. Denn auch mein Volk ist wie eine Hure: Es ist mir untreu und läuft fremden Göttern nach.« 3 Da gehorchte Hosea und heiratete Gomer, die Tochter von Diblajim. Sie wurde schwanger und brachte einen Jungen zur Welt. 4 »Nenne deinen Sohn Jesreel«, sagte der Herr zu Hosea, »denn bald werde ich das Blutbad rächen, das König Jehu in Jesreel angerichtet hat.[a] Ich werde seine Nachkommen bestrafen und dem Königreich Israel ein Ende machen. 5 In der Ebene Jesreel werde ich die Heeresmacht der Israeliten zerbrechen.«
6 Gomer wurde danach wieder schwanger und brachte ein Mädchen zur Welt. Da sagte Gott zu Hosea: »Nenne das Kind Lo-Ruhama (›Sie findet kein Erbarmen‹)! Denn ich habe kein Erbarmen mehr mit den Israeliten und werde ihre Schuld nicht länger vergeben!
7 Aber mit den Judäern will ich Mitleid haben: Ich werde sie retten, doch ich gebrauche dazu keine Waffen, keine Bogen und Schwerter, Pferde und Reiter. Nein, ihre Hilfe kommt allein von mir, dem Herrn, ihrem Gott!«
8 Als Gomer ihre Tochter Lo-Ruhama nicht mehr stillte, wurde sie ein drittes Mal schwanger und brachte einen Jungen zur Welt. 9 Da sagte der Herr: »Er soll Lo-Ammi (›nicht mein Volk‹) heißen. Denn ihr seid nicht mehr mein Volk, und ich bin nicht mehr für euch da.

Israels Untreue führt zu seiner zeitweiligen Verwerfung
1 Dies ist das Wort des Herrn, das an Hosea, den Sohn Beeris, erging in den Tagen Ussijas, Jotams, Ahas’ und Hiskias, der Könige von Juda, und in den Tagen Jerobeams, des Sohnes von Joas, des Königs von Israel.
2 Als der Herr durch Hosea zu reden begann, da sprach der Herr zu ihm: Geh, erwirb dir eine hurerische Frau und Hurenkinder; denn das Land ist dem Herrn untreu geworden und hat sich der Hurerei hingegeben!
3 Und er ging hin und nahm Gomer[a], die Tochter Diblaims, zur Frau; und sie wurde schwanger und gebar ihm einen Sohn.
4 Der Herr aber sprach zu ihm: Gib ihm den Namen »Jesreel«[b]; denn in Kurzem werde ich das in Jesreel vergossene Blut am Haus Jehus rächen und dem Königtum des Hauses Israel ein Ende machen!
5 Und es wird geschehen an jenem Tag[c], da will ich den Bogen Israels zerbrechen in der Talebene von Jesreel.
6 Und als sie wiederum schwanger wurde und eine Tochter gebar, da sprach Er zu ihm: Nenne sie »Lo-Ruchama«[d]; denn ich werde mich über das Haus Israel künftig nicht mehr erbarmen, dass ich ihnen vergeben würde!
7 Dagegen will ich mich über das Haus Juda erbarmen und sie retten durch den Herrn, ihren Gott; doch nicht durch Bogen, Schwert und Kampf will ich sie retten, nicht durch Rosse noch Reiter.
8 Als sie nun Lo-Ruchama entwöhnt hatte, wurde sie wieder schwanger und gebar einen Sohn.
9 Da sprach Er: Nenne ihn »Lo-Ammi«[e]; denn ihr seid nicht mein Volk, und ich bin nicht der Eure!

2 Première partie des paroles que l’Eternel prononça par Osée :
L’Eternel dit à Osée : Va, prends une femme qui se livre à la prostitution, et des enfants nés de la prostitution, car le pays se vautre dans la prostitution en se détournant de l’Eternel[b].
3 Alors Osée alla prendre Gomer, de Diblaïm. Elle devint enceinte et lui donna un fils. 4 L’Eternel lui dit : Appelle-le Jizréel, car d’ici peu de temps, je ferai rendre compte à la dynastie de Jéhu des meurtres commis à Jizréel[c] et je mettrai fin à la royauté d’Israël. 5 En ce jour-là, je briserai l’arc d’Israël dans la vallée de Jizréel.
6 Gomer fut de nouveau enceinte et mit au monde une fille. L’Eternel dit à Osée : Appelle-la Lo-Rouhama (la Non-Aimée), car, à l’avenir, je ne manifesterai plus d’amour à la communauté d’Israël, et je ne lui accorderai plus mon pardon.
7 Cependant, je manifesterai de l’amour à la communauté de Juda, et moi, l’Eternel son Dieu, je la sauverai. Je la sauverai moi-même – et non pas par l’arc, par l’épée ou la guerre, par les chevaux et les équipages de chars.
8 Après avoir sevré Lo-Rouhama, Gomer fut encore enceinte et elle donna naissance à un fils.
9 L’Eternel dit à Osée : Appelle-le Lo-Ammi (Pas mon peuple) car vous n’êtes pas mon peuple, et moi, Je suis, je ne suis rien pour vous[d].

2 When the Lord began to speak through Hosea, the Lord said to him, “Go, marry a promiscuous(I) woman and have children with her, for like an adulterous wife this land is guilty of unfaithfulness(J) to the Lord.” 3 So he married Gomer(K) daughter of Diblaim, and she conceived and bore him a son.
4 Then the Lord said to Hosea, “Call him Jezreel,(L) because I will soon punish the house of Jehu for the massacre at Jezreel, and I will put an end to the kingdom of Israel. 5 In that day I will break Israel’s bow in the Valley of Jezreel.(M)”
6 Gomer(N) conceived again and gave birth to a daughter. Then the Lord said to Hosea, “Call her Lo-Ruhamah (which means “not loved”),(O) for I will no longer show love to Israel,(P) that I should at all forgive them. 7 Yet I will show love to Judah; and I will save them—not by bow,(Q) sword or battle, or by horses and horsemen, but I, the Lord their God,(R) will save them.”
8 After she had weaned Lo-Ruhamah,(S) Gomer had another son. 9 Then the Lord said, “Call him Lo-Ammi (which means “not my people”), for you are not my people, and I am not your God.[b](T)
10 “Yet the Israelites will be like the sand on the seashore, which cannot be measured or counted.(U) In the place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ they will be called ‘children of the living God.’(V) 11 The people of Judah and the people of Israel will come together;(W) they will appoint one leader(X) and will come up out of the land,(Y) for great will be the day of Jezreel.[c](Z)

2 The beginning of the word of the Lord by Hosea. And the Lord said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredom, departing from the Lord.
3 So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; which conceived, and bare him a son.
4 And the Lord said unto him, Call his name Jezreel; for yet a little while, and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu, and will cause to cease the kingdom of the house of Israel.

6 And she conceived again, and bare a daughter. And God said unto him, Call her name Loruhamah: for I will no more have mercy upon the house of Israel; but I will utterly take them away.
7 But I will have mercy upon the house of Judah, and will save them by the Lord their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen.
8 Now when she had weaned Loruhamah, she conceived, and bare a son.
9 Then said God, Call his name Loammi: for ye are not my people, and I will not be your God.
10 Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God.
11 Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered together, and appoint themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the land: for great shall be the day of Jezreel.
