When she had weaned Lo-ruhamah, she conceived and gave birth to a son. And [a]the Lord said, “Name him [b]Lo-ammi, because you are not My people, and I am not [c]your God.”

10 [d]Yet the number of the sons of Israel
Will be like the (A)sand of the sea,
Which cannot be measured or counted;
And (B)in the place
Where it is said to them,
“You are (C)not My people,”
It will be said to them,
You are the (D)sons of the living God.”
