¹⁵ Israel, if you act promiscuously,
don’t let Judah become guilty!
Do not go to Gilgal^(A)
or make a pilgrimage to Beth-aven,^[a](B)
and do not swear an oath: As the Lord lives!^(C)

¹¹ Since Gilead is full of evil,^(A)
they will certainly come to nothing.
They sacrifice bulls in Gilgal;^(B)
even their altars will be like piles of rocks^(C)
on the furrows of a field.
