Hosea 13:3-5

3 Therefore they will be like the (A)morning cloud
And like dew which [a]soon disappears,
Like (B)chaff which is blown away from the threshing floor
And like (C)smoke from a [b]chimney.

4 Yet I have been (D)Yahweh your God
Since the land of Egypt;
And you were not to know (E)any god except Me,
And there is no savior (F)besides Me.
5 I Myself (G)knew you in the wilderness,
(H)In the land of drought.

    like smoke(D) escaping through a window.

4 “But I have been the Lord your God
    ever since you came out of Egypt.(E)
You shall acknowledge(F) no God but me,(G)
    no Savior(H) except me.
5 I cared for you in the wilderness,(I)
    in the land of burning heat.
