Hosea 1:8-10
International Standard Version
8 After Gomer[a] had weaned Lo-ruhamah, she conceived again and gave birth to a son, 9 so the Lord[b] told Hosea,[c] “Name him ‘Lo-ammi,’[d] because you are not my people, and I will not be your God.[e] 10 [f]Despite this, the number of the people of Israel will be like ocean sand, which can neither be measured nor counted. And the time will come when instead of it being said,[g] ‘You are not my people,’ it will be said,[h] ‘You are children of the living God.’

New International Version
8 After she had weaned Lo-Ruhamah,(A) Gomer had another son. 9 Then the Lord said, “Call him Lo-Ammi (which means “not my people”), for you are not my people, and I am not your God.[a](B)
10 “Yet the Israelites will be like the sand on the seashore, which cannot be measured or counted.(C) In the place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ they will be called ‘children of the living God.’(D)
