¹⁴ Give them, Lord—
    what will you give them?
Give them wombs that miscarry
    and breasts that are dry.^(A)

⁹ Who is wise?^(A) Let them realize these things.
    Who is discerning? Let them understand.^(B)
The ways of the Lord are right;^(C)
    the righteous walk^(D) in them,
    but the rebellious stumble in them.

²¹ Shall I leave their innocent blood unavenged?^(A)
    No, I will not.^(B)”

¹⁵ I will plant^(A) Israel in their own land,^(B)
    never again to be uprooted^(C)
    from the land I have given them,”^(D)

says the Lord your God.^(E)

We have heard a message from the Lord:
    An envoy^(E) was sent to the nations to say,
“Rise, let us go against her for battle”^(F)—

²¹ Deliverers^(A) will go up on^[a] Mount Zion
    to govern the mountains of Esau.
    And the kingdom will be the Lord’s.^(B)
