⁹ Those who are wise understand these things;
    those who are discerning know them.
For the ways of the Lord are right,
    and the upright walk in them,
    but transgressors stumble in them.^(A)

²⁹ The way of the Lord is a stronghold for the upright
    but destruction for evildoers.^(A)

⁴³ Let those who are wise pay attention to these things
    and consider the steadfast love of the Lord.^(A)

⁵ let the wise, too, hear and gain in learning
    and the discerning acquire skill,^(A)
6 to understand a proverb and a figure,
    the words of the wise and their riddles.

⁵ The Lord within it is righteous;
    he does no wrong.
Every morning he renders his judgment,
    each dawn without fail,
    but the unjust knows no shame.^(A)
