Hiob 35
Hoffnung für Alle
Dir selbst schadet deine Bosheit!
35 Elihu fuhr fort:
2 »Du behauptest:
›Gott wird mich für unschuldig erklären!‹
Meinst du im Ernst, das sei richtig?
3 Denn du fragst:
›Was nützt es mir, wenn ich nicht sündige,
was habe ich davon?‹
4 Darauf kann ich dir die Antwort geben,
dir und deinen Freunden hier:
5 Schau zum Himmel empor,
sieh dir die Wolken an –
sie sind unerreichbar für dich!
6 Genauso wenig kann deine Sünde Gott erreichen;
selbst wenn du dich offen gegen ihn stellst:
ihn triffst du damit nicht!
7 Und umgekehrt:
Bringt ihm dein tadelloses Leben irgendeinen Nutzen?
Empfängt er damit eine Gabe aus deiner Hand?
8 Nein, deine Bosheit trifft nur deine Mitmenschen,
und wenn du Gutes tust, hilft es nur ihnen!
9 Laut stöhnen die Menschen unter der Last der Gewaltherrschaft,
sie schreien nach Befreiung vom Joch der Tyrannei.
10 Doch keiner fragt nach Gott,
nach seinem Schöpfer,
der in der dunkelsten Stunde uns noch Hoffnung gibt[a].
11 Keiner wendet sich an Gott, der uns belehrt
und der uns weiser macht als alle Tiere draußen,
klüger als die Vögel in der Luft.
12 Wenn Menschen um Hilfe schreien,
weil die Bosheit siegt,
wird Gott sie doch nicht hören.
13 Ja, sie rufen vergeblich;
Gott erhört sie nicht, er beachtet sie nicht einmal.
14 Und wie viel weniger wird er dich hören,
wenn du sagst, dass du ihn gar nicht siehst!
Warte geduldig, Hiob, dein Fall ist Gott bekannt!
15 Du meinst, dass er niemals zornig wird,
dass er Verbrechen nicht bestraft,
weil er von ihnen gar nichts weiß.
16 Und deshalb nimmst du den Mund hier so voll!
Aber du machst bloß leere Worte,
du redest viel und zeigst doch nur,
wie unwissend du bist!«

35 Continuó Eliú, y dijo:
2 «¿Piensas que esto es justo(A)?
Dices: “Mi justicia es más que la de Dios”.
3 -»Porque dices: “¿Qué ventaja será para Ti(B)?
¿Qué ganaré yo por no haber pecado(C)?”.
4 -»Yo te daré razones,
Y a tus amigos contigo.
5 -»Mira a los cielos(D) y ve,
Contempla las nubes, son más altas que tú(E).
6 -»Si has pecado, ¿qué logras tú contra Él?
Y si tus transgresiones son muchas, ¿qué le haces(F)?
7 -»Si eres justo, ¿qué le das(G),
O qué recibe Él de tu mano?
8 -»Tu maldad es para un hombre como tú,
Y tu justicia para un hijo de hombre.
9 ¶»A causa de la multitud de opresiones claman los hombres(H);
Gritan a causa del brazo de los poderosos(I).
10 -»Pero ninguno dice: “¿Dónde está Dios mi Hacedor(J),
Que inspira[a] cánticos en la noche(K),
11 Que nos enseña(L) más que a las bestias de la tierra,
Y nos hace más sabios que las aves de los cielos?”.
12 -»Allí claman, pero Él no responde(M)
A causa del orgullo de los malos.
13 -»Ciertamente el clamor vano[b] no escuchará Dios,
El Todopoderoso[c] no lo tomará en cuenta(N).
14 -»Cuánto menos cuando dices que no lo contemplas(O),
Que la causa está delante de Él(P), y tienes que esperarlo.
15 -»Y ahora, porque Él no ha castigado[d] con Su ira,
Ni se ha fijado bien en la transgresión[e],
16 Job abre vanamente su boca,
Multiplica palabras sin sabiduría(Q)».

World English Bible
35 Moreover Elihu answered,
2 “Do you think this to be your right,
or do you say, ‘My righteousness is more than God’s,’
3 that you ask, ‘What advantage will it be to you?
What profit will I have, more than if I had sinned?’
4 I will answer you,
and your companions with you.
5 Look to the skies, and see.
See the skies, which are higher than you.
6 If you have sinned, what effect do you have against him?
If your transgressions are multiplied, what do you do to him?
7 If you are righteous, what do you give him?
Or what does he receive from your hand?
8 Your wickedness may hurt a man as you are,
and your righteousness may profit a son of man.
9 “By reason of the multitude of oppressions they cry out.
They cry for help by reason of the arm of the mighty.
10 But no one says, ‘Where is God my Maker,
who gives songs in the night,
11 who teaches us more than the animals of the earth,
and makes us wiser than the birds of the sky?’
12 There they cry, but no one answers,
because of the pride of evil men.
13 Surely God will not hear an empty cry,
neither will the Almighty regard it.
14 How much less when you say you don’t see him.
The cause is before him, and you wait for him!
15 But now, because he has not visited in his anger,
neither does he greatly regard arrogance,
16 therefore Job opens his mouth with empty talk,
and he multiplies words without knowledge.”
