26 Hiob antwortete und sprach:
2 Wie stehest du dem bei, der keine Kraft hat, hilfst dem, der keine Stärke in den Armen hat!
3 Wie gibst du Rat dem, der keine Weisheit hat, und tust kund Verstandes die Fülle!
4 Zu wem redest du? und wes Odem geht von dir aus?
5 Die Toten ängsten sich tief unter den Wassern und denen, die darin wohnen.
6 Das Grab ist aufgedeckt vor ihm, und der Abgrund hat keine Decke.
7 Er breitet aus die Mitternacht über das Leere und hängt die Erde an nichts.
8 Er faßt das Wasser zusammen in seine Wolken, und die Wolken zerreißen darunter nicht.
9 Er verhüllt seinen Stuhl und breitet seine Wolken davor.
10 Er hat um das Wasser ein Ziel gesetzt, bis wo Licht und Finsternis sich scheiden.
11 Die Säulen des Himmels zittern und entsetzen sich vor seinem Schelten.
12 Von seiner Kraft wird das Meer plötzlich ungestüm, und durch seinen Verstand zerschmettert er Rahab.
13 Am Himmel wird's schön durch seinen Wind, und seine Hand durchbohrt die flüchtige Schlange.
14 Siehe, also geht sein Tun, und nur ein geringes Wörtlein davon haben wir vernommen. Wer will aber den Donner seiner Macht verstehen?

26 Entonces respondió Job:
2 «¡Qué ayuda eres para el débil[a](A)!
¡Cómo has salvado al brazo sin fuerza(B)!
3 -»¡Qué consejos has dado al que no tiene sabiduría,
Y qué útil conocimiento has dado[b] en abundancia!
4 -»¿A quién has proferido tus palabras,
Y de quién es el espíritu que habló en[c] ti?
5 ¶»Las sombras[d](C) tiemblan
Bajo las aguas y sus habitantes.
6 -»(D)Desnudo está el Seol[e] ante Él,
Y el Abadón[f](E) no tiene cobertura.
7 -»Él extiende el norte(F) sobre el vacío,
Y cuelga la tierra sobre la nada.
8 -»Envuelve las aguas en Sus nubes(G),
Y la nube no se rompe bajo ellas.
9 -»Oscurece[g] la superficie de la luna llena[h],
Y extiende sobre ella(H) Su nube.
10 -»Ha trazado un círculo sobre la superficie de las aguas(I)
En el límite de la luz y las tinieblas(J).
11 -»Las columnas del cielo tiemblan
Y se espantan ante Su reprensión.
12 -»Al mar agitó con Su poder(K),
Y al monstruo Rahab(L) quebrantó con Su entendimiento(M).
13 -»Con Su soplo se limpian[i] los cielos(N);
Su mano ha traspasado la serpiente huidiza(O).
14 -»Estos son los bordes de Sus caminos;
¡Y cuán leve es la palabra que de Él oímos(P)!
Pero Su potente trueno, ¿quién lo puede comprender(Q)?».

26 Then Job replied:
2 “How you have helped the powerless!(A)
How you have saved the arm that is feeble!(B)
3 What advice you have offered to one without wisdom!
And what great insight(C) you have displayed!
4 Who has helped you utter these words?
And whose spirit spoke from your mouth?(D)
5 “The dead are in deep anguish,(E)
those beneath the waters and all that live in them.
6 The realm of the dead(F) is naked before God;
Destruction[a](G) lies uncovered.(H)
7 He spreads out the northern skies(I) over empty space;
he suspends the earth over nothing.(J)
8 He wraps up the waters(K) in his clouds,(L)
yet the clouds do not burst under their weight.
9 He covers the face of the full moon,
spreading his clouds(M) over it.
10 He marks out the horizon on the face of the waters(N)
for a boundary between light and darkness.(O)
11 The pillars of the heavens quake,(P)
aghast at his rebuke.
12 By his power he churned up the sea;(Q)
by his wisdom(R) he cut Rahab(S) to pieces.
13 By his breath the skies(T) became fair;
his hand pierced the gliding serpent.(U)
14 And these are but the outer fringe of his works;
how faint the whisper(V) we hear of him!(W)
Who then can understand the thunder of his power?”(X)
