48 Detta är namnen på stammarna:
Vid norra gränsen längs efter Hetlonsvägen, där vägen går till Hamat, vidare bort mot Hasar-Enan - med Damaskus gräns i norr och längs med Hamat - där skall Dan ha en lott, så att hela sträckan från östra sidan till västra tillhör honom.
2 Närmast Dans område skall Aser ha en lott från östra sidan till västra.
3 Närmast Asers område skall Naftali ha en lott från östra sidan till västra.
4 Närmast Naftalis område skall Manasse ha en lott från östra sidan till västra.
5 Närmast Manasses område skall Efraim ha en lott från östra sidan till västra.
6 Närmast Efraims område skall Ruben ha en lott från östra sidan till västra.
7 Närmast Rubens område skall Juda ha en lott från östra sidan till västra.
8 Närmast Juda område skall från östra sidan till västra sidan det område sträcka sig som ni skall ge som gåva till Herren. Ni skall som gåva ge 25 000 alnar i bredd och i längd lika mycket som en stamlott från östra till västra sidan. Helgedomen skall ligga där i mitten. 9 Det område ni ger som gåva åt Herren skall vara 25 000 alnar i längd och 10 000 i bredd. 10 Av detta heliga område, som ni ger som gåva skall ett stycke tillhöra prästerna, i norr 25 000 alnar, i väster 10 000 alnar i bredd, i öster likaså 10 000 alnar i bredd och i söder 25 000 i längd, och Herrens helgedom skall ligga där i mitten. 11 Det skall tillhöra prästerna, dem av Sadoks söner som har blivit helgade och som har gjort tjänst åt mig och som inte for vilse som leviterna gjorde, när de övriga israeliterna for vilse. 12 Därför skall en särskild del av den offergåva som avstyckats från landet tillhöra dem som ett högheligt område invid leviternas. 13 Men leviterna skall få ett område som motsvarar prästernas, i längd 25 000 alnar och i bredd 10 000, längden överallt 25 000 och bredden 10 000. 14 De får inte sälja eller byta bort något av det. De får heller inte på annat sätt överlåta det bästa av landet åt någon annan, ty det är helgat åt Herren.
15 Men de 5 000 alnar som blir över på bredden invid de 25 000 skall vara en allmänning för staden, dels att bo på, dels som utmark, och staden skall ligga där i mitten. 16 Detta är stadens mått: Norra sidan 4 500 alnar, södra sidan 4 500, på östra sidan 4 500 och västra sidan 4 500. 17 Staden skall ha en utmark som norrut sträcker sig 250 alnar, söderut 250, österut 250 och västerut 250 alnar. 18 Det som återstår av marken längs det heliga området blir 10 000 alnar österut och 10 000 västerut, och det sträcker sig utmed det heliga området. Avkastningen av detta område skall tjäna till föda åt stadens invånare. 19 Stadens arbetare från Israels alla stammar skall bruka det. 20 Hela den del som ni skall avskilja skall vara 25 000 alnar långt och 25 000 brett och bilda en fyrkant. Ni skall överlämna denna heliga gåva till staden som dess egendom.
21 Fursten skall få vad som blir över på båda sidor om det heliga området och stadens område. Det gäller marken fram till det 25 000 alnar breda heliga området, ända till östra gränsen, och likaså västerut marken fram till det 25 000 alnar breda området, ända till västra gränsen. Båda dessa områden som går parallellt med stamlotterna skall tillhöra fursten. Det heliga området med helgedomen skall ligga mitt emellan dem. 22 Från leviternas område och från stadens område, som ligger mitt emellan furstens områden, skall det som ligger mellan Juda sydgräns och Benjamins nordgräns tillhöra fursten.
23 Sedan följer de återstående stammarna. Först skall Benjamin ha en lott, från östra sidan till västra.
24 Närmast Benjamins område skall Simeon ha en lott, från östra sidan till västra.
25 Närmast Simeons område skall Isaskar ha en lott, från östra sidan till västra.
26 Närmast Isaskars område skall Sebulon ha en lott, från östra sidan till västra.
27 Närmast Sebulons område skall Gad ha en lott, från östra sidan till västra.
28 Närmast Gads område, på dess södra sida, skall gränsen gå från Tamar över Meribas vatten vid Kadesh och vidare till bäcken, fram till Stora havet.
29 Detta är det land som ni genom lottkastning skall fördela till arvedel åt Israels stammar. Detta skall vara deras stamlotter, säger Herren, Herren.
30 Följande utgångar skall staden ha: På norra sidan skall den mäta 4 500 alnar, 31 och av stadens portar, uppkallade efter Israels stammar, skall tre ligga i norr: Den första är Rubens port, den andra Juda port och den tredje Levi port. 32 På östra sidan skall den också mäta 4 500 alnar, och ha tre portar: Den första är Josefs port, den andra Benjamins port och den tredje Dans port. 33 På samma sätt skall också den södra sidan hålla ett mått på 4 500 alnar och ha tre portar: Den första Simeons port, den andra Isaskars port, den tredje Sebulons port. 34 Västra sidan skall mäta 4 500 alnar och ha tre portar: Den första är Gads port, den andra Asers port, den tredje Naftalis port. 35 Runtom skall staden mäta 18 000 alnar, och för all framtid skall dess namn vara: Här är Herren .

48 “Now these are the names of the tribes: (A)From the northern border along the road to Hethlon at the entrance of Hamath, to Hazar Enan, the border of Damascus northward, in the direction of Hamath, there shall be one section for (B)Dan from its east to its west side; 2 by the border of Dan, from the east side to the west, one section for (C)Asher; 3 by the border of Asher, from the east side to the west, one section for (D)Naphtali; 4 by the border of Naphtali, from the east side to the west, one section for (E)Manasseh; 5 by the border of Manasseh, from the east side to the west, one section for (F)Ephraim; 6 by the border of Ephraim, from the east side to the west, one section for (G)Reuben; 7 by the border of Reuben, from the east side to the west, one section for (H)Judah; 8 by the border of Judah, from the east side to the west, shall be (I)the district which you shall set apart, twenty-five thousand cubits in width, and in length the same as one of the other portions, from the east side to the west, with the (J)sanctuary in the center.
9 “The district that you shall set apart for the Lord shall be twenty-five thousand cubits in length and ten thousand in width. 10 To these—to the priests—the holy district shall belong: on the north twenty-five thousand cubits in length, on the west ten thousand in width, on the east ten thousand in width, and on the south twenty-five thousand in length. The sanctuary of the Lord shall be in the center. 11 (K)It shall be for the priests of the sons of Zadok, who are sanctified, who have kept My charge, who did not go astray when the children of Israel went astray, (L)as the Levites went astray. 12 And this district of land that is set apart shall be to them a thing most (M)holy by the border of the Levites.
13 “Opposite the border of the priests, the (N)Levites shall have an area twenty-five thousand cubits in length and ten thousand in width; its entire length shall be twenty-five thousand and its width ten thousand. 14 (O)And they shall not sell or exchange any of it; they may not alienate this best part of the land, for it is holy to the Lord.
15 (P)“The five thousand cubits in width that remain, along the edge of the twenty-five thousand, shall be (Q)for general use by the city, for dwellings and common-land; and the city shall be in the center. 16 These shall be its measurements: the north side four thousand five hundred cubits, the south side four thousand five hundred, the east side four thousand five hundred, and the west side four thousand five hundred. 17 The common-land of the city shall be: to the north two hundred and fifty cubits, to the south two hundred and fifty, to the east two hundred and fifty, and to the west two hundred and fifty. 18 The rest of the length, alongside the district of the holy section, shall be ten thousand cubits to the east and ten thousand to the west. It shall be adjacent to the district of the holy section, and its produce shall be food for the workers of the city. 19 (R)The workers of the city, from all the tribes of Israel, shall cultivate it. 20 The entire district shall be twenty-five thousand cubits by twenty-five thousand cubits, foursquare. You shall set apart the holy district with the property of the city.
21 (S)“The rest shall belong to the prince, on one side and on the other of the holy district and of the city’s property, next to the twenty-five thousand cubits of the holy district as far as the eastern border, and westward next to the twenty-five thousand as far as the western border, adjacent to the tribal portions; it shall belong to the prince. It shall be the holy district, (T)and the sanctuary of the [a]temple shall be in the center. 22 Moreover, apart from the possession of the Levites and the possession of the city which are in the midst of what belongs to the prince, the area between the border of Judah and the border of (U)Benjamin shall belong to the prince.
23 “As for the rest of the tribes, from the east side to the west, Benjamin shall have one section; 24 by the border of Benjamin, from the east side to the west, (V)Simeon shall have one section; 25 by the border of Simeon, from the east side to the west, (W)Issachar shall have one section; 26 by the border of Issachar, from the east side to the west, (X)Zebulun shall have one section; 27 by the border of Zebulun, from the east side to the west, (Y)Gad shall have one section; 28 by the border of Gad, on the south side, toward the [b]South, the border shall be from Tamar to (Z)the waters of [c]Meribah by Kadesh, along the brook to the (AA)Great Sea. 29 (AB)This is the land which you shall divide by lot as an inheritance among the tribes of Israel, and these are their portions,” says the Lord God.
The Gates of the City and Its Name
30 “These are the exits of the city. On the north side, measuring four thousand five hundred cubits 31 (AC)(the gates of the city shall be named after the tribes of Israel), the three gates northward: one gate for Reuben, one gate for Judah, and one gate for Levi; 32 on the east side, four thousand five hundred cubits, three gates: one gate for Joseph, one gate for Benjamin, and one gate for Dan; 33 on the south side, measuring four thousand five hundred cubits, three gates: one gate for Simeon, one gate for Issachar, and one gate for Zebulun; 34 on the west side, four thousand five hundred cubits with their three gates: one gate for Gad, one gate for Asher, and one gate for Naphtali. 35 All the way around shall be eighteen thousand cubits; (AD)and the name of the city from that day shall be: (AE)THE[d] LORD IS THERE.”

48 »Aquí está la lista de tribus y el territorio que cada una de ellas ha de recibir. Para Dan: Desde el límite norte en el Mediterráneo, a través de Hetlón, luego a Lebó Jamat y hasta Jazar Enán en la frontera entre Damasco hacia el sur y Jamat hacia el norte. Estos son los límites orientales y occidentales de la tierra. 2 El territorio de Aser queda al sur del territorio de Dan y tiene los mismos límites al este y al oeste. 3 La tierra de Neftalí queda al sur de Aser con los mismos límites al este y al oeste. 4 Luego viene Manasés, al sur de Neftalí, con los mismos límites al este y al oeste. 5-7 Después, hacia el sur están Efraín, Rubén y luego Judá, todos con los mismos límites al este y al oeste.
8 »Al sur de Judá está la tierra apartada para el templo. Tiene los mismos límites al este y al oeste como las secciones de las tribus, con el templo en el centro. 9 Esta zona del templo será de trece kilómetros y ciento veinticinco metros de largo y diez kilómetros y medio de ancho. 10 Una franja de tierra que mide trece kilómetros y ciento veinticinco metros de este a oeste, y cinco kilómetros y cuarto de norte a sur rodea el templo. 11 Esta franja es para los sacerdotes, o sea los hijos de Sadoc, quienes me obedecieron y no se lanzaron a cometer maldades cuando sí lo hicieron el pueblo de Israel y el resto de su propia tribu de Leví. 12 Es su porción especial cuando la tierra sea distribuida, la tierra más exclusiva. Al lado queda la zona donde vivirán los otros levitas. 13 Será de la misma medida y forma que la primera. Juntas medirán trece kilómetros y ciento veinticinco metros de largo y diez kilómetros y medio de ancho. 14 No podrán vender ni cambiar ni ceder nada de esta tierra especial, porque pertenece al Señor, es exclusiva.
15 »La franja de tierra que queda de trece kilómetros y ciento veinticinco metros de largo por dos kilómetros y seiscientos veinticinco de ancho, al sur de la sección del templo, es para uso público, para viviendas, pastizales y parques, con una ciudad en el centro. 16 La ciudad será cuadrada, de dos kilómetros y trescientos sesenta metros por lado. 17 Una franja de ciento treinta y un metros rodeará la ciudad y será tierra de pastoreo. 18 Afuera de la ciudad, extendiéndose hacia el este y oeste por cinco kilómetros y cuarto al lado de los terrenos exclusivos, habrá una zona de huertas de la ciudad para uso público. 19 Estará abierta para cualquiera que trabaje en la ciudad, no importa de qué parte de Israel proceda. 20 La zona entera —incluyendo las tierras exclusivas y tierras de la ciudad— forma un cuadrado de trece kilómetros y ciento veinticinco metros por lado.
21-22 »La tierra de ambos lados de las porciones exclusivas y de la ciudad pertenecerán al príncipe. Se extenderán desde el cuadrado de trece kilómetros y ciento veinticinco metros de estas hasta el límite occidental, y desde el otro lado hasta el límite oriental. Esta porción del príncipe tendrá como límites el territorio de Judá al norte y el de Benjamín al sur.
23 »Las secciones dadas a las restantes tribus son las siguientes: la sección de Benjamín se extiende a lo ancho de Israel desde la frontera oriental hasta la occidental.
24 »Al sur de la zona de Benjamín queda la de Simeón, también extendiéndose entre los mismos límites orientales y occidentales.
25 »Después viene Isacar, con los mismos límites. 26 Luego viene Zabulón, también extendiéndose a lo ancho de Israel.
27-28 »Finalmente viene Gad, que cuenta con los mismos límites sobre el este y el oeste, mientras su límite sur corre desde Tamar a los manantiales de Meribá Cades, y luego sigue Wadi el Arish (Arroyo de Egipto) hasta el Mediterráneo.
29 »Estas son las asignaciones que han de ser hechas a cada tribu, dice el Señor Dios.
Las puertas de Jerusalén
30-31 »Cada puerta de la ciudad será nombrada en honor de una de las tribus de Israel. Sobre el lado norte, con su muro de dos kilómetros y trescientos sesenta metros de largo habrá tres puertas, una nombrada Rubén, otra Judá y otra Leví.
32 »En el lado este, con su muro de dos kilómetros y trescientos sesenta metros de largo, serán nombradas José, Benjamín y Dan. 33 El muro sur, con la misma extensión, tendrá las puertas de Simeón, Isacar y Zabulón; 34 sobre los dos kilómetros y trescientos sesenta metros del lado oeste, las puertas serán nombradas Gad, Aser y Neftalí.
35 »La circunferencia total de la ciudad es de nueve kilómetros y cuatrocientos cincuenta metros. ¡Y el nombre de la ciudad será Dios Sama (Dios está allí)!».
