Saulo(A), respirando todavía amenazas[a] y muerte contra los discípulos del Señor(B), fue al sumo sacerdote, y le pidió cartas para las sinagogas(C) de Damasco(D), para que si encontraba algunos que pertenecieran al Camino(E), tanto hombres como mujeres, los pudiera llevar atados a Jerusalén(F).

Saul Turns from Murder to Messiah

Now Saul, still breathing out threats and murder against the Lord’s disciples, went to the kohen gadol. He requested letters of introduction from him to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any men or women belonging to the Way, he might bring them as prisoners to Jerusalem.

As he was traveling, approaching Damascus, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him.

Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord’s disciples.(B) He went to the high priest and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus,(C) so that if he found any there who belonged to the Way,(D) whether men or women, he might take them as prisoners to Jerusalem. As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him.(E)
