²⁷Porque verdaderamente se aliaron en esta ciudad contra tu santo Siervo Jesús, a quien ungiste, Herodes y Poncio Pilato, con los gentiles y el pueblo de Israel,

²⁶The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.

²⁷For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,

²⁸For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.

²⁶The kings of the earth rise up
and the rulers band together
against the Lord
and against his anointed one.^[a]’^[b]^(A)

²⁷Indeed Herod^(B) and Pontius Pilate^(C) met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus,^(D) whom you anointed. ²⁸They did what your power and will had decided beforehand should happen.^(E)
