3 Pablo había recogido también una brazada de leña; al arrojarla a la hoguera, una víbora, huyendo de las llamas, hizo presa en su mano. 4 Cuando los isleños vieron al reptil colgando de la mano de Pablo, se dijeron unos a otros:
— Este hombre es realmente un asesino; aunque se ha librado de la tempestad, la justicia divina no permite que viva.
5 Pablo, sin embargo, se sacudió el reptil arrojándolo al fuego y no experimentó daño alguno.

King James Version
3 And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand.
4 And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live.
5 And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm.

3 But when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire, a viper came out because of the heat, and fastened on his hand. 4 So when the natives saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to one another, “No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he has escaped the sea, yet justice does not allow to live.” 5 But he shook off the creature into the fire and (A)suffered no harm.
