22 »Escúchenme bien, porque voy a hablarles de Jesús, el que vivía en Nazaret. Todos nosotros sabemos que Dios lo envió. También sabemos que Dios le dio grandes poderes, porque lo vimos hacer grandes maravillas y señales.
23 »Desde el principio, Dios había decidido que Jesús sufriera, y que fuera entregado a sus enemigos. Ustedes lo ataron y lo entregaron a los romanos, para que lo mataran. 24 ¡Pero Dios hizo que Jesús resucitara! ¡Y es que la muerte no tenía ningún poder sobre él!

22 “Fellow Israelites, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth(A) was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs,(B) which God did among you through him,(C) as you yourselves know. 23 This man was handed over to you by God’s deliberate plan and foreknowledge;(D) and you, with the help of wicked men,[a] put him to death by nailing him to the cross.(E) 24 But God raised him from the dead,(F) freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.(G)

You yourselves know this. 23 This man was arrested in accordance with God’s predetermined plan and foreknowledge; and, through the agency of persons not bound by the Torah, you nailed him up on a stake and killed him!
24 “But God has raised him up and freed him from the suffering of death; it was impossible that death could keep its hold on him.
