Pablo y Bernabé en Iconio
14 Cuando Pablo y Bernabé entraron juntos en la sinagoga(A) de los judíos en Iconio(B), hablaron de tal manera que creyó una gran multitud(C), tanto de judíos como de griegos(D). 2 Pero los judíos que no creyeron[a](E), excitaron y llenaron de odio los ánimos[b] de los gentiles(F) contra los hermanos(G). 3 Con todo, se detuvieron allí mucho tiempo hablando valientemente, confiados en el Señor que confirmaba[c] la palabra de Su gracia(H), concediendo que se hicieran señales[d] y prodigios(I) por medio de sus manos.
4 Pero la gente de la ciudad estaba dividida(J), y unos estaban con los judíos(K) y otros con los apóstoles(L). 5 Cuando los gentiles y los judíos, con sus gobernantes, prepararon un atentado para maltratarlos(M) y apedrearlos(N), 6 los apóstoles se dieron cuenta de ello y huyeron a las ciudades de Licaonia(O), Listra(P), Derbe(Q), y sus alrededores; 7 y allí continuaron anunciando el evangelio(R).

8 Y había en Listra(S) un hombre que estaba sentado, imposibilitado de los pies, cojo desde el seno de su madre y que nunca había andado(T). 9 Este escuchaba hablar a Pablo, el cual, fijando la mirada en él(U), y viendo que tenía fe para ser sanado[e](V), 10 dijo con voz fuerte: «Levántate derecho sobre tus pies». Y él dio un salto y comenzó a andar(W). 11 Cuando la multitud vio lo que Pablo había hecho, alzaron la voz, diciendo en el idioma de Licaonia(X): «Los dioses se han hecho semejantes a hombres(Y) y han descendido a nosotros».
12 Y llamaban a Bernabé, Júpiter[f], y a Pablo, Mercurio[g], porque este era el que dirigía la palabra. 13 El sacerdote de Júpiter, cuyo templo estaba en las afueras de[h] la ciudad, trajo toros y guirnaldas a las puertas, y quería ofrecer sacrificios(Z) junto con la multitud.
14 Pero cuando lo oyeron los apóstoles(AA) Bernabé y Pablo, rasgaron sus ropas(AB) y se lanzaron en medio de la multitud, gritando: 15 «Señores, ¿por qué hacen estas cosas? Nosotros también somos hombres de igual naturaleza que ustedes(AC), y les anunciamos el evangelio(AD) para que se vuelvan de estas cosas vanas(AE) a un Dios vivo(AF), que hizo el cielo, la tierra, el mar, y todo lo que hay en ellos(AG). 16 En las generaciones pasadas Él permitió que todas las naciones[i] siguieran sus propios caminos(AH); 17 y sin embargo, no dejó de dar testimonio de Él mismo(AI), haciendo bien y dándoles lluvias del cielo y estaciones fructíferas(AJ), llenando sus corazones de sustento y de alegría». 18 Aun diciendo estas palabras, apenas pudieron impedir que las multitudes les ofrecieran sacrificio.

19 Pero vinieron algunos judíos de Antioquía(AK) y de Iconio(AL), y habiendo persuadido a la multitud(AM), apedrearon a Pablo(AN) y lo arrastraron[j] fuera de la ciudad, pensando que estaba muerto. 20 Pero mientras los discípulos(AO) lo rodeaban, él se levantó y entró en la ciudad. Al día siguiente Pablo partió con Bernabé a Derbe(AP).
21 Después de anunciar el evangelio(AQ) a aquella ciudad y de hacer muchos discípulos(AR), volvieron a Listra(AS), a Iconio(AT) y a Antioquía(AU), 22 fortaleciendo los ánimos de los discípulos(AV), exhortándolos a que perseveraran en la fe(AW), y diciendo: «Es necesario que a través de muchas tribulaciones(AX) entremos en el reino de Dios». 23 Después que les designaron(AY) ancianos(AZ) en cada iglesia, habiendo orado con ayunos(BA), los encomendaron al Señor(BB) en quien habían creído.
24 Pasaron por Pisidia(BC) y llegaron a Panfilia(BD). 25 Después de predicar[k] la palabra en Perge(BE), descendieron a Atalia; 26 y de allí se embarcaron para Antioquía(BF), donde habían sido encomendados(BG) a la gracia de Dios(BH) para la obra que habían cumplido.
27 Cuando llegaron y reunieron a la iglesia, informaron de todas las cosas que Dios había hecho con ellos(BI), y cómo[l] había abierto a los gentiles la puerta(BJ) de la fe. 28 Y se quedaron mucho tiempo[m] con los discípulos(BK).

14 Cuando Pablo y Bernabé llegaron a la ciudad de Iconio, entraron juntos en la sinagoga de los judíos. Allí hablaron a la gente acerca de Jesús, y muchos judíos y gente de otros pueblos creyeron en él. 2 Pero los judíos que no creyeron en Jesús hicieron que se enojaran los que no eran judíos, y los pusieron en contra de los seguidores de Jesús.
3 Pablo y Bernabé se quedaron en Iconio por algún tiempo. Confiaban mucho en Dios y le contaban a la gente toda la verdad acerca del amor de Dios. El Señor les daba poder para hacer milagros y maravillas, para que así la gente creyera todo lo que decían.
4 La gente de Iconio no sabía qué hacer, pues unos apoyaban a los judíos, y otros a Pablo y a Bernabé. 5 Entonces los judíos, y los que no eran judíos, se pusieron de acuerdo con los líderes de Iconio, y decidieron maltratar a Pablo y a Bernabé, y matarlos a pedradas. 6-7 Pero Pablo y Bernabé se dieron cuenta y huyeron a la región de Licaonia y sus alrededores. Allí anunciaron las buenas noticias en los pueblos de Listra y Derbe.
Problemas en Listra
8 En el pueblo de Listra había un hombre que nunca había podido caminar. Era cojo desde el día en que nació. Este hombre estaba sentado, 9 escuchando a Pablo, quien lo miró fijamente, y se dio cuenta de que el hombre confiaba en que él podía sanarlo. 10 Entonces le dijo en voz alta: «¡Levántate y camina!»
Aquel hombre dio un salto y comenzó a caminar. 11 Al ver lo que Pablo hizo, los allí presentes comenzaron a gritar en el idioma licaonio: «¡Los dioses han tomado forma humana, y han venido a visitarnos!»
12-13 Y el sacerdote y la gente querían ofrecer sacrificios en honor de Bernabé y de Pablo. Pensaban que Bernabé era el dios Zeus, y que Pablo era el dios Hermes,[a] porque él era el que hablaba. Y como el templo del dios Zeus estaba a la entrada del pueblo, el sacerdote llevó al templo toros y adornos de flores.
14 Cuando Bernabé y Pablo se dieron cuenta de lo que pasaba, rompieron su ropa para mostrar su horror por lo que la gente hacía. Luego se pusieron en medio de todos, y gritaron:
15 «¡Oigan! ¿Por qué hacen esto? Nosotros no somos dioses, somos simples hombres, como ustedes. Por favor, ya no hagan estas tonterías, sino pídanle perdón a Dios. Él es quien hizo el cielo, la tierra, el mar y todo lo que hay en ellos. 16 Y aunque en otro tiempo permitió que todos hicieran lo que quisieran, 17 siempre ha mostrado quién es él, pues busca el bien de todos. Él hace que llueva y que las plantas den a tiempo sus frutos, para que todos tengan qué comer y estén siempre alegres».
18 A pesar de lo que Bernabé y Pablo dijeron, les fue muy difícil convencer a la gente de no ofrecerles sacrificios. 19 Pero llegaron unos judíos de Iconio y Antioquía, y convencieron a la gente para que se pusiera en contra de Pablo. Entonces la gente lo apedreó y, pensando que estaba muerto, lo arrastró fuera del pueblo. 20 Pero Pablo, rodeado de los seguidores de Jesús, se levantó y entró de nuevo en el pueblo. Al día siguiente, se fue con Bernabé al pueblo de Derbe.
Pablo y Bernabé vuelven a Antioquía
21 Pablo y Bernabé anunciaron las buenas noticias en Derbe, y mucha gente creyó en Jesús. Después volvieron a los pueblos de Listra, Iconio y Antioquía. 22 Allí visitaron a los que habían creído en Jesús, y les recomendaron que siguieran confiando en él. También les dijeron: «Debemos sufrir mucho antes de entrar en el reino de Dios».
23 En cada iglesia, Pablo y Bernabé nombraron líderes para que ayudaran a los seguidores de Jesús. Después de orar y ayunar, ponían las manos sobre esos líderes y le pedían a Dios que los ayudara, pues ellos habían creído en él.
24 Pablo y Bernabé continuaron su viaje, y pasaron por la región de Pisidia hasta llegar a la región de Panfilia. 25 Allí anunciaron las buenas noticias, primero a los del pueblo de Perge y luego a los de Atalía. 26 Después tomaron un barco y se fueron a la ciudad de Antioquía, en la región de Siria. En esa ciudad, los miembros de la iglesia le habían pedido a Dios con mucho amor que cuidara a Pablo y a Bernabé, para que no tuvieran problemas al anunciar las buenas noticias.
27 Cuando Pablo y Bernabé llegaron a Antioquía, se reunieron con los miembros de la iglesia y les contaron todo lo que Dios había hecho por medio de ellos. Les contaron también cómo el Señor los había ayudado a anunciar las buenas noticias a los que no eran judíos, para que también ellos pudieran creer en Jesús. 28 Pablo y Bernabé se quedaron allí mucho tiempo con los miembros de la iglesia.

24 二人经过彼西底，来到旁非利亚。 25 在别加讲了道，就下亚大利去。 26 从那里坐船，往安提阿去。当初他们被众人所托、蒙神之恩要办现在所做之工，就是在这地方。 27 到了那里，聚集了会众，就述说神借他们所行的一切事，并神怎样为外邦人开了信道的门。 28 二人就在那里同门徒住了多日。

14 Now at Iconium [also Paul and Barnabas] went into the Jewish synagogue together and spoke with such power that a great number both of Jews and of Greeks believed (became Christians);
2 But the unbelieving Jews [who rejected their message] aroused the Gentiles and embittered their minds against the brethren.
3 So [Paul and Barnabas] stayed on there for a long time, speaking freely and fearlessly and boldly in the Lord, Who continued to bear testimony to the Word of His grace, granting signs and wonders to be performed by their hands.
4 But the residents of the town were divided, some siding with the Jews and some with the apostles.
5 When there was an attempt both on the part of the Gentiles and the Jews together with their rulers, to insult and abuse and molest [Paul and Barnabas] and to stone them,
6 They, aware of the situation, made their escape to Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and the neighboring districts;
7 And there they continued to preach the glad tidings (Gospel).
8 Now at Lystra a man sat who found it impossible to use his feet, for he was a cripple from birth and had never walked.
9 He was listening to Paul as he talked, and [Paul] gazing intently at him and observing that he had faith to be healed,
10 Shouted at him, saying, Stand erect on your feet! And he leaped up and walked.
11 And the crowds, when they saw what Paul had done, lifted up their voices, shouting in the Lycaonian language, The gods have come down to us in human form!
12 They called Barnabas Zeus, and they called Paul, because he led in the discourse, Hermes [god of speech].
13 And the priest of Zeus, whose [temple] was at the entrance of the town, brought bulls and garlands to the [city’s] gates and wanted to join the people in offering sacrifice.
14 But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard of it, they tore their clothing and dashed out among the crowd, shouting,
15 Men, why are you doing this? We also are [only] human beings, of nature like your own, and we bring you the good news (Gospel) that you should turn away from these foolish and vain things to the living God, Who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and everything that they contain.(A)
16 In generations past He permitted all the nations to walk in their own ways;
17 Yet He did not neglect to leave some witness of Himself, for He did you good and [showed you] kindness and gave you rains from heaven and fruitful seasons, satisfying your hearts with nourishment and happiness.
18 Even in [the light of] these words they with difficulty prevented the people from offering sacrifice to them.
19 But some Jews arrived there from Antioch and Iconium; and having persuaded the people and won them over, they stoned Paul and [[a]afterward] dragged him out of the town, thinking that he was dead.
20 But the disciples formed a circle about him, and he got up and went back into the town; and on the morrow he went on with Barnabas to Derbe.
21 When they had preached the good news (Gospel) to that town and made disciples of many of the people, they went back to Lystra and Iconium and Antioch,
22 Establishing and strengthening the souls and the hearts of the disciples, urging and warning and encouraging them to stand firm in the faith, and [telling them] that it is through many hardships and tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God.
23 And when they had appointed and ordained elders for them in each church with prayer and fasting, they committed them to the Lord in Whom they had come to believe [being full of joyful trust that He is the Christ, the Messiah].
24 Then they went through Pisidia and arrived at Pamphylia.
25 And when they had spoken the Word in Perga [the doctrine concerning the attainment through Christ of salvation in the kingdom of God], they went down to Attalia;
26 And from there they sailed back to Antioch, where they had [first] been commended to the grace of God for the work which they had [now] completed.
27 Arriving there, they gathered the church together and declared all that God had accomplished with them and how He had opened to the Gentiles a door of faith [in Jesus as the Messiah, through Whom we obtain salvation in the kingdom of God].
28 And there they stayed no little time with the disciples.
