² A tabernacle^(A) was set up. In its first room were the lampstand^(B) and the table^(C) with its consecrated bread;^(D) this was called the Holy Place.^(E)

⁴ Bring in the table^(A) and set out what belongs on it.^(B) Then bring in the lampstand^(C) and set up its lamps.

⁵ “Take the finest flour and bake twelve loaves of bread,^(A) using two-tenths of an ephah^[a](B) for each loaf. ⁶ Arrange them in two stacks, six in each stack, on the table of pure gold^(C) before the Lord. ⁷ By each stack put some pure incense^(D) as a memorial^[b] portion^(E) to represent the bread and to be a food offering presented to the Lord. ⁸ This bread is to be set out before the Lord regularly,^(F) Sabbath after Sabbath,^(G) on behalf of the Israelites, as a lasting covenant.

³⁵ Place the table^(A) outside the curtain on the north side of the tabernacle and put the lampstand^(B) opposite it on the south side.

²² Moses placed the table^(A) in the tent of meeting on the north side of the tabernacle outside the curtain ²³ and set out the bread^(B) on it before the Lord, as the Lord commanded^(C) him.

²⁴ He placed the lampstand^(D) in the tent of meeting opposite the table on the south side of the tabernacle

¹⁸ When Moses^(A) set up the tabernacle, he put the bases in place, erected the frames,^(B) inserted the crossbars and set up the posts. ¹⁹ Then he spread the tent over the tabernacle and put the covering^(C) over the tent, as the Lord commanded^(D) him.

²⁰ He took the tablets of the covenant law^(E) and placed them in the ark,^(F) attached the poles to the ark and put the atonement cover^(G) over it.

² “Set up^(A) the tabernacle, the tent of meeting,^(B) on the first day of the first month.^(C)

³³ Hang the curtain from the clasps and place the ark of the covenant law behind the curtain.^(A) The curtain will separate the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place.^(B)

³⁶ the table^(A) with all its articles and the bread of the Presence;^{(B) 37} the pure gold lampstand^(C) with its row of lamps and all its accessories,^(D) and the olive oil^(E) for the light; ³⁸ the gold altar,^(F) the anointing oil,^(G) the fragrant incense,^(H) and the curtain^(I) for the entrance to the tent;
