¹⁹ For when Moses had spoken every ^[a]precept to all the people according to the law, ^(A)he took the blood of calves and goats, ^(B)with water, scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people,

⁵ Then he sent young men of the children of Israel, who offered ^(A)burnt offerings and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen to the Lord. ⁶ And Moses ^(B)took half the blood and put it in basins, and half the blood he sprinkled on the altar. ⁷ Then he ^(C)took the Book of the Covenant and read in the hearing of the people. And they said, “All that the Lord has said we will do, and be obedient.” ⁸ And Moses took the blood, sprinkled it on the people, and said, “This is ^(D)the blood of the covenant which the Lord has made with you according to all these words.”

On the Mountain with God

⁹ Then Moses went up, also Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel, ¹⁰ and they ^(E)saw the God of Israel. And there was under His feet as it were a paved work of ^(F)sapphire stone, and it was like the ^(G)very^[a] heavens in its clarity. ¹¹ But on the nobles of the children of Israel He ^(H)did not ^[b]lay His hand. So ^(I)they saw God, and they ^(J)ate and drank.

¹² Not ^(A)with the blood of goats and calves, but ^(B)with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place ^(C)once for all, ^(D)having obtained eternal redemption.

¹⁸ A clean person shall take ^(A)hyssop and dip it in the water, sprinkle it on the tent, on all the vessels, on the persons who were there, or on the one who touched a bone, the slain, the dead, or a grave.

⁶ And the priest shall take ^(A)cedar wood and ^(B)hyssop and scarlet, and cast them into the midst of the fire burning the heifer.

⁴ For ^(A)it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.

^2 (A)elect ^(B)according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, ^(C)in sanctification of the Spirit, for ^(D)obedience and ^(E)sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ:

^(F)Grace to you and peace be multiplied.

^25 (A)Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you ^(B)from all your filthiness and from all your idols.

^14 (A)He shall take some of the blood of the bull and ^(B)sprinkle it with his finger on the mercy seat on the east side; and before the mercy seat he shall sprinkle some of the blood with his finger seven times.

^15 (C)“Then he shall kill the goat of the sin offering, which is for the people, bring its blood ^(D)inside the veil, do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bull, and sprinkle it on the mercy seat and before the mercy seat. ¹⁶ So he shall ^(E)make atonement for the Holy Place, because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions, for all their sins; and so he shall do for the tabernacle of meeting which remains among them in the midst of their uncleanness. ¹⁷ There shall be ^(F)no man in the tabernacle of meeting when he goes in to make atonement in the Holy Place, until he comes out, that he may make atonement for himself, for his household, and for all the assembly of Israel. ¹⁸ And he shall go out to the altar that is before the Lord, and make atonement for ^(G)it, and shall take some of the blood of the bull and some of the blood of the goat, and put it on the horns of the altar all around.
