Hebrews 8:7-13

7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no need to look for a second one.
8 God[a] finds fault with them when he says:
“The days are surely coming, says the Lord,
when I will establish a new covenant with the house of Israel
and with the house of Judah;
9 not like the covenant that I made with their ancestors,
on the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt;
for they did not continue in my covenant,
and so I had no concern for them, says the Lord.
10 This is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel
after those days, says the Lord:
I will put my laws in their minds,
and write them on their hearts,
and I will be their God,
and they shall be my people.
11 And they shall not teach one another
or say to each other, ‘Know the Lord,’
for they shall all know me,
from the least of them to the greatest.
12 For I will be merciful toward their iniquities,
and I will remember their sins no more.”
13 In speaking of “a new covenant,” he has made the first one obsolete. And what is obsolete and growing old will soon disappear.

9 non come il patto che feci con i loro padri nel giorno in cui li presi per mano per farli uscire dal paese d’Egitto; perché essi non hanno perseverato nel mio patto, e io, a mia volta, non mi sono curato di loro, dice il Signore.
10 Questo è il patto che farò con la casa d’Israele dopo quei giorni, dice il Signore: io metterò le mie leggi nelle loro menti, le scriverò sui loro cuori, e sarò il loro Dio, ed essi saranno il mio popolo.
11 Nessuno istruirà più il proprio concittadino[a] e nessuno il proprio fratello, dicendo: “Conosci il Signore!” Perché tutti mi conosceranno, dal più piccolo al più grande di loro.
12 Perché avrò misericordia delle loro iniquità e non mi ricorderò più dei loro peccati [e dei loro misfatti]»[b].

8 Denn er tadelt doch, indem er zu ihnen spricht: »Siehe, es kommen Tage, spricht der Herr, da ich mit dem Haus Israel und mit dem Haus Juda einen neuen Bund schließen werde;
9 nicht wie der Bund, den ich mit ihren Vätern gemacht habe an dem Tag, als ich sie bei der Hand nahm, um sie aus dem Land Ägypten zu führen — denn sie sind nicht in meinem Bund geblieben, und ich ließ sie gehen, spricht der Herr —,
10 sondern das ist der Bund, den ich mit dem Haus Israel schließen werde nach jenen Tagen, spricht der Herr: Ich will ihnen meine Gesetze in den Sinn geben und sie in ihre Herzen schreiben; und ich will ihr Gott sein, und sie sollen mein Volk sein.
11 Und es wird keiner mehr seinen Nächsten und keiner mehr seinen Bruder lehren und sagen: Erkenne den Herrn! Denn es werden mich alle kennen, vom Kleinsten bis zum Größten unter ihnen;
12 denn ich werde gnädig sein gegen ihre Ungerechtigkeiten, und an ihre Sünden und ihre Gesetzlosigkeiten werde ich nicht mehr gedenken.«[a]
13 Indem er sagt: »Einen neuen«, hat er den ersten [Bund] für veraltet erklärt; was aber veraltet ist und sich überlebt hat, das wird bald verschwinden.

7 Ha a Régi Szövetség tökéletes lett volna, nem lett volna szükség helyette egy másikra. 8 De Isten nem volt megelégedve a népével, ezért így szólt hozzájuk:
„Eljön az idő — mondja az Örökkévaló —,
amikor új szövetséget kötök
Izráel népével és Júda népével,[a]
9 de ez az új nem olyan lesz, mint a régi,
amelyet őseikkel kötöttem azon a napon,
amikor kézen fogva kivezettem őket
Egyiptom földjéről.
Mivel nem maradtak hűségesek
a régi szövetséghez,
én is elfordultam tőlük,
— mondja az Örökkévaló. —
10 Azok után a napok után majd
új szövetséget kötök Izráel népével,
— mondja az Örökkévaló —,
törvényeimet beírom értelmükbe,
bevésem a szívükbe,
Istenükké leszek,
ők pedig népemmé lesznek.
11 Nem lesz többé szükség rá,
hogy valaki a testvérét, vagy társát tanítsa.
Nem mondja neki: »Ismerd meg az Örökkévalót!«,
mert mind ismerni fognak engem
— a legkisebbtől a legnagyobbig.
12 Mert megbocsátom gonoszságaikat,
és bűneikre többé nem emlékezem.”[b]
13 Isten „újnak” nevezte ezt a szövetséget — ez pedig azt jelenti, hogy a Régi Szövetség már elavult, s nem használható. Ami pedig elavult és használhatatlan, az hamarosan el is fog tűnni.

8 Or, c’est bien un reproche que Dieu adresse à son peuple lorsqu’il déclare :
Mais des jours vont venir, |dit le Seigneur,
où je conclurai |avec le peuple d’Israël |et celui de Juda |une alliance nouvelle.
9 Elle ne sera pas |comme celle que j’ai conclue |avec leurs pères
quand je les ai pris par la main |pour les faire sortir d’Egypte.
Puisqu’ils n’ont pas été fidèles |à mon alliance,
moi alors, je me suis détourné d’eux, |dit le Seigneur.
10 Mais voici quelle alliance je vais conclure |avec le peuple d’Israël
après ces jours, |dit le Seigneur :
je placerai mes lois dans leur pensée,
je les graverai sur leur cœur ;
je serai leur Dieu,
et ils seront mon peuple.
11 Ils n’auront plus besoin |de s’enseigner l’un l’autre
en répétant chacun |à son concitoyen |ou à son frère :
« Il faut que tu connaisses le Seigneur ! »
Car tous me connaîtront,
du plus petit jusqu’au plus grand d’entre eux.
12 Car je pardonnerai leurs fautes,
je ne tiendrai plus compte |de leurs péchés[a].
13 Par le simple fait d’appeler cette alliance-là nouvelle, le Seigneur a rendu la première ancienne ; or, ce qui devient ancien et ce qui vieillit est près de disparaître.
