²¹ (for they have become priests without an oath, but He with an oath by Him who said to Him:

²² by so much more Jesus has become a ^[b]surety of a ^(B)better covenant.

¹³ For if ^(A)the blood of bulls and goats and ^(B)the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, ^[a]sanctifies for the ^[b]purifying of the flesh, ¹⁴ how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without ^[c]spot to God, ^(C)cleanse your conscience from ^(D)dead works ^(E)to serve the living God? ¹⁵ And for this reason ^(F)He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that ^(G)those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.
