¹¹ And we desire that each one of you demonstrate the same diligence ^[a]so as to realize the ^(A)full assurance of ^(B)hope until the end, ¹² so that you will not be sluggish, but ^(C)imitators of those who through ^(D)faith and endurance ^(E)inherit the promises.

⁵ who are ^(A)protected by the power of God ^(B)through faith for ^(C)a salvation ready ^(D)to be revealed in the last time. ^6 (E)In this you greatly rejoice, even though now ^(F)for a little while, ^(G)if necessary, you have been distressed by ^(H)various ^[a]trials, ⁷ so that the ^[b](I)proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which perishes ^(J)though tested by fire, ^(K)may be found to result in praise, glory, and honor at ^(L)the revelation of Jesus Christ; ⁸ and ^(M)though you have not seen Him, you ^(N)love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and ^[c]full of glory, ⁹ obtaining as ^(O)the outcome of your faith, the salvation of ^[d]your souls.

²⁸ so Christ also, having been ^(A)offered once to ^(B)bear the sins of many, will appear ^(C)a second time for ^(D)salvation ^(E)without reference to sin, to those who ^(F)eagerly await Him.
