Hebrews 5:4-10
Legacy Standard Bible
4 And (A)no one takes this honor to himself, but receives it when he is called by God, even (B)as Aaron was.
5 In this way also Christ (C)did not glorify Himself to become a (D)high priest, but He who (E)said to Him,
“(F)You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You”;
6 just as He says also in another passage,
7 He, [a]in the days of His flesh, [b](I)offered up both prayers and supplications with (J)loud crying and tears to the One (K)able to save Him [c]from death, and He [d]was heard because of His (L)reverence. 8 Although He was (M)a Son, He learned (N)obedience from the things which He suffered. 9 And having been made (O)perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation, 10 being designated by God as (P)a high priest according to (Q)the order of Melchizedek.

Hebrews 5:4-10
American Standard Version
4 And no man taketh the honor unto himself, but when he is called of God, even as was Aaron. 5 So Christ also glorified not himself to be made a high priest, but he that spake unto him,
[a]Thou art my Son,
This day have I begotten thee:
6 as he saith also in another place,
[b]Thou art a priest for ever
After the order of Melchizedek.
7 Who in the days of his flesh, having offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him [c]from death, and having been heard for his godly fear, 8 though he was a Son, yet learned obedience by the things which he suffered; 9 and having been made perfect, he became unto all them that obey him the [d]author of eternal salvation; 10 named of God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek.
