and put everything under their feet.”[a][b](A)

In putting everything under them,[c] God left nothing that is not subject to them.[d] Yet at present we do not see everything subject to them.[e] But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor(B) because he suffered death,(C) so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.(D)

10 In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists,(E) should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered.(F) 11 Both the one who makes people holy(G) and those who are made holy(H) are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters.[f](I) 12 He says,

“I will declare your name to my brothers and sisters;
    in the assembly I will sing your praises.”[g](J)

13 And again,

“I will put my trust in him.”[h](K)

And again he says,

“Here am I, and the children God has given me.”[i](L)

and subjected everything under his feet.[a]

For in subjecting everything to him, He left nothing that is not subject to him. As it is, we do not yet see everything subjected to him.(A) But we do see Jesus—made lower than the angels for a short time so that by God’s grace He might taste death for everyone—crowned with glory and honor(B) because of His suffering in death.(C)

10 For in bringing many sons to glory, it was entirely appropriate that God—all things exist for Him and through Him—should make the source[b] of their salvation perfect through sufferings.(D) 11 For the One who sanctifies and those who are sanctified all have one Father.[c] That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers,(E) 12 saying:

I will proclaim Your name to My brothers;
I will sing hymns to You in the congregation.(F)[d]

13 Again, I will trust in Him.[e] And again, Here I am with the children God gave Me.(G)[f]
