Hebrews 1:4-14
Holman Christian Standard Bible
4 So He became higher in rank than the angels, just as the name He inherited is superior to theirs.(A)
The Son Superior to Angels
5 For to which of the angels did He ever say, You are My Son; today I have become Your Father,[a][b] or again, I will be His Father, and He will be My Son?(B)[c] 6 When He again[d] brings His firstborn into the world,(C) He says, And all God’s angels must worship Him.(D)[e] 7 And about the angels He says:
8 but to[i] the Son:
Your throne, God,
is forever and ever,
and the scepter of Your kingdom
is a scepter of justice.(F)
9 You have loved righteousness
and hated lawlessness;
this is why God, Your God,
has anointed You
with the oil of joy(G)
rather than Your companions.[j][k]
10 And:
In the beginning, Lord,
You established the earth,
and the heavens are the works of Your hands;(H)
11 they will perish, but You remain.
They will all wear out like clothing;(I)
12 You will roll them up like a cloak,[l]
and they will be changed like a robe.
But You are the same,
and Your years will never end.(J)[m]
13 Now to which of the angels has He ever said:
14 Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve those who are going to inherit salvation?(L)

Hebrews 1:4-14
Lexham English Bible
4 having become by so much better than the angels, by as much as he has inherited a more excellent name than theirs.
The Son Superior to the Angels
5 For to which of the angels did he ever say,
“You are my son,
today I have begotten you,”[a]
and again,
6 And again, when he brings the firstborn into the world, he says,
“And let all the angels of God worship him.”[e]
7 And concerning the angels he says,
“The one who makes his angels winds,
and his servants a flame of fire,”[f]
8 but concerning the Son,
“Your throne, O God, is forever and ever[g],
and the scepter of righteous is the scepter of your kingdom.
9 You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness;
because of this God, your God, has anointed you
with the olive oil of joy more than your companions.[h]
10 And,
“You, Lord, laid the foundation of the earth in the beginning,
and the heavens are the works of your hands;
11 they will perish, but you continue,
and they will all become old like a garment,
12 and like a robe you will roll them up,
and like a garment they will be changed;
but you are the same, and your years will not run out.”[i]
13 But to which of the angels has he ever said,
“Sit down at my right hand,
until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”[j]
14 Are they not all spirits engaged in special service, sent on assignment for the sake of those who are going to inherit salvation?
