Service Well-Pleasing to God
13 Let mutual love continue. 2 Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it. 3 Remember those who are in prison, as though you were in prison with them; those who are being tortured, as though you yourselves were being tortured.[a] 4 Let marriage be held in honour by all, and let the marriage bed be kept undefiled; for God will judge fornicators and adulterers. 5 Keep your lives free from the love of money, and be content with what you have; for he has said, ‘I will never leave you or forsake you.’ 6 So we can say with confidence,
‘The Lord is my helper;
I will not be afraid.
What can anyone do to me?’
7 Remember your leaders, those who spoke the word of God to you; consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith. 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and for ever. 9 Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings; for it is well for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by regulations about food,[b] which have not benefited those who observe them. 10 We have an altar from which those who officiate in the tent[c] have no right to eat. 11 For the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest as a sacrifice for sin are burned outside the camp. 12 Therefore Jesus also suffered outside the city gate in order to sanctify the people by his own blood. 13 Let us then go to him outside the camp and bear the abuse he endured. 14 For here we have no lasting city, but we are looking for the city that is to come. 15 Through him, then, let us continually offer a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that confess his name. 16 Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.
17 Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls and will give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with sighing—for that would be harmful to you.
18 Pray for us; we are sure that we have a clear conscience, desiring to act honourably in all things. 19 I urge you all the more to do this, so that I may be restored to you very soon.
Benediction
20 Now may the God of peace, who brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, 21 make you complete in everything good so that you may do his will, working among us[d] that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Final Exhortation and Greetings
22 I appeal to you, brothers and sisters,[e] bear with my word of exhortation, for I have written to you briefly. 23 I want you to know that our brother Timothy has been set free; and if he comes in time, he will be with me when I see you. 24 Greet all your leaders and all the saints. Those from Italy send you greetings. 25 Grace be with all of you.[f]

13 你們總要保持弟兄的愛。 2 不要忘了用愛心接待人，有人就是這樣作，在無意中就款待了天使。 3 你們要記念那些被囚禁的人，好像跟他們一起被囚禁；也要記念那些受虐待的人，好像你們也親自受過。 4 人人都應該尊重婚姻，婚床也不要玷污，因為 神一定審判淫亂的和姦淫的人。 5 你們為人不要貪愛錢財，要以現在所有的為滿足；因為 神親自說過：“我決不撇下你，也不離棄你。” 6 所以我們可以放膽說：
“主是我的幫助，
我決不害怕，
人能把我怎麼樣呢？”
7 你們要記念那些領導過你們，把 神的道傳給你們的人；你們要觀察他們一生的成果，要效法他們的信心。 8 耶穌基督昨天、今天、一直到永遠都是一樣的。 9 你們不要被各樣怪異的教訓勾引去了。人心靠著恩典，而不是靠著食物得到堅定，才是好的；因為那些拘守食物的人，從來沒有得過益處。 10 我們有一座祭壇，壇上的祭物，是那些在會幕中供職的人沒有權利吃的。 11 那些祭牲的血，由大祭司帶進聖所作贖罪祭，祭牲的身體卻要在營外焚燒。 12 所以耶穌也是這樣在城門外受苦，為的是要藉著自己的血使人民成聖。 13 那麼，讓我們也出到營外到他那裡去，擔當他的凌辱。 14 因為在這裡我們沒有長存的城，我們卻是尋求那將要來的城。 15 所以，我們要藉著耶穌，常常把頌讚的祭品獻給 神，這就是承認他的名的人嘴唇的果子。 16 你們也不要忘記行善和捐輸，這樣的祭是 神所喜悅的。
17 你們要聽從那些領導你們的人，也要順服他們；因為他們為你們的靈魂警醒，好像要交帳的人一樣。你們要使他們交帳的時候快快樂樂，不至於歎息；如果他們歎息，對你們就沒有好處了。
18 請為我們禱告，因為我們深信自己良心無虧，願意凡事遵行正道。 19 我更加要求你們為我們禱告，好使我們能夠快點回到你們那裡去。

13 Let brotherly love continue.
2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
3 Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.
4 Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
7 Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
9 Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.
10 We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle.
11 For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp.
12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.
13 Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.
14 For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.
15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.
18 Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.
19 But I beseech you the rather to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.
20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
22 And I beseech you, brethren, suffer the word of exhortation: for I have written a letter unto you in few words.
23 Know ye that our brother Timothy is set at liberty; with whom, if he come shortly, I will see you.
24 Salute all them that have the rule over you, and all the saints. They of Italy salute you.
