Hebrews 10:5-10

⁵Consequently, ^(A)when Christ^[a] came into the world, he said,

^(B)“Sacrifices and offerings you have not desired,
    but a body have you prepared for me;
⁶in burnt offerings and sin offerings
    you have taken no pleasure.
⁷Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come to do your will, O God,
    as it is written of me in the scroll of the book.’”

⁸When he said above, “You have neither desired nor taken pleasure in ^(C)sacrifices and offerings and burnt offerings and sin offerings” (these are offered according to the law), ⁹then he added, ^(D)“Behold, I have come to do your will.” He does away with the first in order to establish the second. ¹⁰And by that will ^(E)we have been sanctified through the offering of ^(F)the body of Jesus Christ ^(G)once for all.

You did not want sacrifice and offering,
but You prepared a body for Me.
⁶You did not delight
in whole burnt offerings and sin offerings.
⁷Then I said, “See—
it is written about Me
in the volume of the scroll—
I have come to do Your will, God!”^(A)^[a]

⁸After He says above, You did not want or delight in sacrifices and offerings, whole burnt offerings and sin offerings (which are offered according to the law^(B)), ⁹He then says, See, I have come to do Your will.^[b] He takes away the first to establish the second. ¹⁰By this will of God, we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once and for all.^(C)
