³²But remember ^(A)the former days, ^[a]when, after being ^(B)enlightened, you endured a great ^(C)conflict of sufferings,

New International Version

³²Remember those earlier days after you had received the light,^(A) when you endured in a great conflict full of suffering.^(B)

³⁶For you have need of ^(A)endurance, so that when you have ^(B)done the will of God, you may ^(C)receive the promise.

³⁶You need to persevere^(A) so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.^(B)
