11 For the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest as a sacrifice for sin are burned outside the camp.(A) 12 Therefore Jesus also suffered outside the city gate in order to sanctify the people by his own blood.(B) 13 Let us then go to him outside the camp and bear the abuse he endured. 14 For here we have no lasting city, but we are looking for the city that is to come.(C) 15 Through him, then, let us continually offer a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that confess his name.(D) 16 Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.

17 Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls as those who will give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with sighing, for that would be harmful to you.(E)

18 Pray for us; we are sure that we have a good conscience, desiring to act honorably in all things.(F)

11 The high priest carries the blood of animals into the Most Holy Place as a sin offering,(A) but the bodies are burned outside the camp.(B) 12 And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate(C) to make the people holy(D) through his own blood.(E) 13 Let us, then, go to him(F) outside the camp, bearing the disgrace he bore.(G) 14 For here we do not have an enduring city,(H) but we are looking for the city that is to come.(I)

15 Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice(J) of praise—the fruit of lips(K) that openly profess his name. 16 And do not forget to do good and to share with others,(L) for with such sacrifices(M) God is pleased.

17 Have confidence in your leaders(N) and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you(O) as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you.

18 Pray for us.(P) We are sure that we have a clear conscience(Q) and desire to live honorably in every way.
