Hebrews 11:5-7

New King James Version

⁵By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, ^(A)“and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. ⁶But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

⁷By faith ^(B)Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, ^(C)prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of ^(D)the righteousness which is according to faith.

⁵By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death: “He could not be found, because God had taken him away.”^[a]^(A) For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God. ⁶And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him^(B) must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

⁷By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen,^(C) in holy fear built an ark^(D) to save his family.^(E) By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.^(F)
