Hebrews 11:34-36
Good News Translation
34 (A)put out fierce fires, escaped being killed by the sword. They were weak, but became strong; they were mighty in battle and defeated the armies of foreigners. 35 (B)Through faith women received their dead relatives raised back to life.
Others, refusing to accept freedom, died under torture in order to be raised to a better life. 36 (C)Some were mocked and whipped, and others were put in chains and taken off to prison.

New International Version
34 quenched the fury of the flames,(A) and escaped the edge of the sword;(B) whose weakness was turned to strength;(C) and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies.(D) 35 Women received back their dead, raised to life again.(E) There were others who were tortured, refusing to be released so that they might gain an even better resurrection. 36 Some faced jeers and flogging,(F) and even chains and imprisonment.(G)
