Hebrews 11:24-29

²⁴By faith Moses, ^(A)when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, ²⁵choosing rather to ^(B)endure ill-treatment with the people of God than to enjoy the temporary pleasures of sin, ²⁶^(C)considering the ^[a]reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he was looking to the ^(D)reward. ²⁷By faith he ^(E)left Egypt, not ^(F)fearing the wrath of the king; for he persevered, as though ^(G)seeing Him who is unseen. ²⁸By faith he ^[b]^(H)kept the Passover and the sprinkling of the blood, so that ^(I)the destroyer of the firstborn would not touch them. ²⁹By faith they ^(J)passed through the Red Sea as through dry land; and the Egyptians, when they attempted it, were ^[c]drowned.

²⁴By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter.^(A) ²⁵He chose to be mistreated^(B) along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin. ²⁶He regarded disgrace^(C) for the sake of Christ^(D) as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward.^(E) ²⁷By faith he left Egypt,^(F) not fearing the king’s anger; he persevered because he saw him who is invisible. ²⁸By faith he kept the Passover and the application of blood, so that the destroyer^(G) of the firstborn would not touch the firstborn of Israel.^(H)
